Breach baby measurements!

This is my second baby and I'm 34 weeks. My tummy is measuring really large, but the baby is breach and has been for a long time. 2 midwives have made remarks on seperate occasions saying that tummy measurements aren't accurate with breach babies but didn't elaborate further. I had a private scan a month or so ago and baby was measuring fine but I'm really worrying about it now! I've tried to eat really healthily but this lockdown is turning me to the chocolate 🙈

Stomach measurements are always quite hit and miss, let alone witb a breach baby. Are you doing exercises to re-position the baby?

Yes I've been trying and was doing a lot of swimming which is obviously come to a halt now :(
I'm really struggling with my back so I'm finding it difficult but if anyone has any tips then I'm all ears :)

I had an undiagnosed breech baby who was measuring 90th plus centile and came out 9th centile. I think if he had been a bigger baby then maybe flags would have been raised but because he was so little it didn't really seem to be an issie

I was sent to breech clinic at Celsea Westminster because i baby was still breach at 35 weeks. They gave me three types of exercises to turn baby and avoid a caeserian. Will find links. I only managed one exercise, kneeling with chest flat on bed. The others were too hard, but I still managed to turn baby.

I did this simple exercise several times a day (Can't remember how long for) also look up spinningbabies website.

My baby turned at about 37 weeks (muscles are looser with second babies, so there's more room for them to turn). Warning tho, my baby got a bit tangled in the cord because she turned late and midwife had to remove cord from baby's neck while i was giving birth). All was ok and I had natural delivery.

Good luck! You are still in good time to turn baby naturally through exercise!

I had also insisted on late scan because i was worried about baby's position and growth
