Have you been to antenatal appointment in hospital recently?

I'm in 3rd trimester and got a number of midwife appointments soon. I'm having some specialist care so this needs to be in hospital and not done at home or at another centre. I'm nervous as I also have a respiratory condition. My hospital is a big teaching hospital in London.

I just wondered if anyone has been to their antenatal appointments in hospital this last week or so and what it was like? Eg what were the conditions in the hospital, were the midwives wearing masks, did you socially distance? Was the hospital busy in the corridors etc?

Sorry if these are silly / insensitive questions. Just trying to get an idea of what to expect.

@ncagainforfeb Oh ok - my scan was on 30 March so it must have changed in the last day or so. I was surprised when we called at the end of last week to check and they were saying yes it's fine.

I had a scan last week at St thomas’. It was unbelievably quiet in the main hospital and fetal medicine unit. None of the staff were wearing gloves or masks. I have to go back next week and will wear a mask I think!

@Robs20 can I ask- how did you travel into St Thomas's?

Back at my hospital today to get my anti-D injection. They've now out a big perspex screen across reception and you're asked if you or your household have any symptoms. Seats in the waiting room further apart than they were 2 weeks ago. Clinical staff with face masks and gloves on. Hardly anyone there, never seen the place so quiet

I had one in St Albans hospital a few weeks ago.
Seemed fine and very quiet

@NewMumSooon we drove there. Would normally get the train but with no congestion charge atm/ quieter roads it was easy!
