Am I just waiting to lose it now?

7 weeks tomorrow, first baby, had a loss last November at 5+3 so made it further than last time so far but admittedly anxious.

I’ve started getting that pinkish smear when I wipe and that ‘heaviness’ in the womb area, and ‘not cramps but you know cramps are coming’ feeling that comes just before your period today - you’ll know what I mean, but trying to explain to DH who’s never had a period is harder. Feeling getting more consistent over the evening. No blood as such, but definitely that pink smear, I’ve seen it before.

Do I just assume my body is gearing up to lose it now? I know some spotting in pregnancy can be normal and fine but this feels so much like the start of a period, like it was last time, just feels sensible to start gearing up for the blood proper...

Urgh... and quite a few people know I’m pregnant this time (Coronavirus reasons) and I don’t want to talk to anyone. Except DH, who’s trying to be positive.

Any wisdom, wise ladies?

@buffalocauliflower
I know how you feel. I’m 10+5 atm, this is my 8th pregnancy, 7 of which ended in mmc, with my last one being 6years ago. I’m constantly waiting for things to go wrong, I remember right at the start I had some bleeding, didn’t know I was pregnant at this point, and just put a tampon in. Then my period never came. My GP ran some tests, I found out I was pregnant.

But there are days / weeks where I feel cramping, sometimes sharp pains, and heaviness. Just like you have described. I think my period is coming, or it’s all just happening again. I’ve got hardly any pregnancy symptoms, no nausea, boobs are fine, no cravings. Just fatigue, but you could put that down to being lazy in lockdown.

I don’t think the lockdown has helped my anxiety, as it made me analyse every twinge, and symptoms (or lack of). I’ve had 5 scans now on the NHS, just for reassurance, and because I’m high risk. Each one is fine, but like you said it offers the slightest bit of hope. The further along I get, the more I’m believing, and the less anxious I’m feeling.

Just wanted you to know my experience, and hope it gives you a little comfort.

Thank you @DressingGown87 and so sorry to hear about your losses, I hope this time all goes well for you.

It is reassuring to hear of others having minimal symptoms. I think we all have in our head that early pregnancy will mean loads of sickness and exhaustion and stuff, and when it doesn’t come it’s worrying. All I can do is hope for the best and wait really.

Hi lovely, as news for me I have started bleeding brown stringy bloody now getting heavier and redder I knew deep down that this would end in another mc as no symptoms at all and just didn’t feel pregnant like all other times.
I’m signing out of here for the foreseeable but I wish you all the luck in the world xxx
