Not sure which birthing centre to choose

So i am only 8 weeks pregnant, however we are having twins! This is a Clomid pregnancy after 27 months of fertility treatments.

Because its twins i cannot give birth at my local maternity centere (South Tyneside Hospital) as they are a midwife ran centre with no consultants.

I've been told by my midwife that i can give birth at either Sunderland City Hospital or Newcastle RVI.

I have tried doing some research into which hospital would be best but i'm getting nowhere.

Are there any mums who have chosen either of these hospitals for a twin or multiple birth who can provide some clarity?

i know its early to be making these deecisions but sooner the better right?

Can you request a visit? Obviously not currently given the whole coronavirus issue, but when things chill out a bit and you are farther along?

you know it never occured to me to ask! first ever pregnancy so im really unsure of things atm but that deffo sounds like a good plan! i will speak with my midwife and find out if they do visits after COVID dies down and we can freely walk around a hospital!

I'd probably just go with whichever one is closest tbh, car journeys in labour are not pleasant 😂 unless you're having an elective section of course. Don't know anything about those hospitals but its worth finding out whether there's any difference in postnatal arrangements - eg does either have private rooms available, do they both have SCBU and transitional care?
