sudden fatigue

I am not far off 16 weeks pregnant, 3rd baby with a gap (have a 9y.o. and a 5 y.o.), I'm 39. Had horrendous nausea and sickness from around 7 to 12 weeks, felt a bit more energetic weeks 13 and 14 - but still nauseous on and off, to this day. I was then told by my GP about 10 days ago that I need iron pills as my blood tests showed I am anaemic. I have been taking the pills for this time (about 10 days) but just feel so unwell. Two weeks ago I could go a walk for an hour and felt OK. Even last week I was doing pregnancy fitness videos on youtube and feeling energised. Today I tried to do a 10 min video and I just could not do it. Heart beating madly, muscles burning.
My daughter has had a cold with a bit of a cough, I have had a mild cold, as has my son. I wonder could it be this virus, whatever it is, that has dragged me down to such an extent?
I am usually very fit and active with a physical job, although I am now working from home, my kids are home, my partner is also WFH. We only leave the house for walks in the countryside (we live in a rural setting) and for essential shopping.
My partner keeps telling me to phone my MW but I am seeing her next Wednesday anyway and don't feel it is the time to be bothering health carers with a minor worry.
I am finding this lack of energy concerning though - climbing the stairs has me out of breath. I am never like this.
Just wondered if anyone has had similar after a virus, and if it passed quickly enough? Or if it is more likely to be the iron levels?

I'd phone your midwife.
If you are showing symptoms similar to CV you need to contact them anyway as you shouldn't be attending appointment just incase.

Hope you feel better soon.

I very much doubt you have the coronavirus. Anemia (which you’ve been told you have) would be the cause of your fatigue. I would also say that it’s not abnormal to feel fatigue at various points in pregnancy — sometimes tiredness can present and it will simply go away on its own. It’s usually a sign that your body is missing out on essential vitamins and nutrients. Depending on the extent of your anemia, you should notice an improvement after 2-3 months of taking iron pills. Keep taking them until your doctors tells you otherwise.

Thanks both for your replies. I don't think it is coronavirus either as we are a household of 4, three of us have had minor cold symptoms, the other nothing at all. I remember fainting at an outdoor market at around this stage when pregnant with DD, and frequently having a racing heart. I think part of the problem is being told that as soon as we enter the 2nd trimester things improve overnight and we can and should get back to exercising and keeping fit asap.
It sometimes isn't that simple. I plan to take the iron till told otherwise by my midwife. I expect they'll take more blood samples on Wednesday, and the results will give a clearer picture of whether the iron is being assimilated well enough.
