I have a joolz day 2 and I love it but, I would not recommend it if you frequently use public transport.
It is a very heavy pram, large and has a small basket (still love it!!)
Have you looked at the hub? Much better for public transport

I got the joolz hub and although baby not here yet, I already love it. We do a lot of travelling, not public transport but have to get it in our car for long journeys and the size this pram goes to when folded etc was definitely a benefit, very lightweight and nimble.

We tried the Joolz Hub and Day in store but personally I thought they were too heavy for public transport. Depends where you live, we’re in London and if I needed to fold or carry it just didn’t seem practical. Hub is something like 11kg and I felt it when I carried it folded in store, even with the shoulder strap.

For contrast the Baby Jogger City Mini is about 7kg or 8kg and has one handed fold - very useful for frequent folding, we had this for DC1 and DC2 as we lived in a flat with stairs and got the bus a lot (so more likely to need to fold).

With DC3 we live in a house, mainly walk or get train (which has loads of space) so haven’t ever needed to fold yet. We got the Bugaboo Bee 5 as it’s also light (8kg? Can’t quite remember) but also very compact, whilst maintaining decent construction. However although it folds in one it’s not as simple as something like the Baby Jogger, which doesn’t matter for us now but something to consider.

Depending on where you are and the types of transport you’re using, I would say Bugaboo Bee is very good (a popular all rounder), but if you’re going to have to fold a lot then Baby Jogger City Mini is best (if you get the GT version you can also have a folding handlebar, which is really useful!).

A lot of people here have bought Babyzen Yo-yo but are not super happy with them - it’s so lightweight that the wheels aren’t always great, it’s not as smooth as other buggies and kids seem big in it much more quickly. I think it’s a good occasional/holiday buggy rather than an everyday work horse for all of your needs (just my opinion and feedback from friend, I’m sure some people probably love it).

Not had experience with Joolz, but I used public transport a lot (on and off buses and trains in London) and have a bugaboo bee5 which I really like as its pretty light and compact and will fit down the aisle of the bus. Baby zen yo-yo are even smaller but just too dinky for what I was after and only go rear facing until baby in six months. Could be a good option if you love in a flat without stairs though. Bugaboo is an expensive brand but holds the value well for resale.

I'm exactly the same, live in a city, use a lot of public transport. A light pram that you can fold with one hand is a must so we narrowed it down to the bugaboo bee 5 or the nuna triv. Went for the nuna triv in the end as its very easy to fold down, lightweight but felt a bit more robust than the bugaboo.

I've bought a joolz day 3 and I absolutely love it but I'm not sure it's the lightest if you're planning on using public transport alot.
We'll be mostly walking and very occasionally driving places so for our needs it's perfect. Can't wait to use it x

hi
what about Bugaboo Cameleon 3 classic?
I use a lot of public transport

Neither of those prams would be my first choices if on public transport. Prams like the Bugaboo Cameleon are folded in two parts, the seat unit or carrycot, then main frame making it virtually impossible to fold and carry with baby and other stuff on public transport if needed.

For public transport you need a pram that folds in one piece, not two seperate and that is as light and small folding as possible.

Some names to look at for ideas:
Bugaboo bee - with baby cocoon not the carrycot
Baby zen yoyo with newborn insert
Uppababy mini with newborn insert
Ergo baby metro with newborn insert

All of those or similar you would be able to fold and carry down train or tube steps, or fold on bus and squeeze in if pram area full. Theres probably lots of other brands also with similar styles
