Had to break open my clear blue but am I pregnant

Hi, I did a clear blue test this morning as I'm 6 days late now but it didn't come up with a result.. Too much wee I think. But I opened it up and I have 2 maybe 3 lines on 1 strip and none on the other.... What does that mean? Does anyone know?

I'd order a new one. I wouldn't rely on a faulty test if I were you.

Yeah I'd get another test, and wee into a cup first to make sure it doesn't get flooded next time. It can get costly otherwise!

Buy some FIrst Response Rapid Response they are the best and detect the smallest amount of hormone xx

I do have others I was just so excited to test today.... Will try again tomorrow with the dip method 😊.
From what I can read I may be but we dont really know till is says the words.
I feel like I am but your body can play tricks... Have this weird bubbly/ rumbly tummy.... Not even sure if it's related but t it's constant.

@yukka I just bought 4/5 packs of clear blue... Are they not actually the best ones? Well hopefully after this next week I should know for sure. Thanks xx

Clear blue aren't that sensitive, definitely try a first response. They are much better. Good luck x

I thought you needed first wee of the day? I've had a couple of negative results but not with early response tests so want to give myself the best chance of a positive reading so my hopes aren't shot again... Could I do another today or just wait?
The suspense is killing me and I'm supposed to have a virtual drink with my family later... Not sure how ill get out of that, haha.

You only need first wee of the day if your period isn't late. You are late. Pee in a cup now and test 😁. And come back and tell us I'm waiting! 😁

Virtual drink is easy put something in your glass that looks alcoholic!

@kirsty if it's past the due date of your period then you can test anytime of day.

Very easy to fake drinking on Skype.... Either make another drink the same colour but alcohol free, or just pretend to sip it and then secretly be pouring it away out of shot Grin (or get your OH to sneakily drink it if he's around! )

Clear blue test for 25mmol of HCG whereas FRER detect 6mmol, but see what the second test says tomorrow before you change.

Actually as your 6 days late, you could try testing again later this morning as I'd expect HCG to be picking up now.

But it's not uncommon to have late periods when Ttc - not because something is different, just because we pay much more attention to our cycles than before.

I have a bulk lot of 'one step' from amazon. They check hcg to a level of 10iu/ml, whereas some others can only detect 25iu/ml. Test again, or order some online. Good luck x

@bluebell94 damn it got loads of the bloody things now haha. Hopefully with the dip method tomorrow I can get my bfp and be out of this horrible limbo.
The test I have cracked has a thick line then 2 faint lines so I think that sounds positive but of course can't be sure....

OP- I suspect many people will have late periods simply due to stress of what is going on at the moment. Even if you don't feel overly stressed, it can certainly affect cycles and hormones.

FRER are absolutely the best for early detection. The pink dye ones show up better than blue dye ones and First Response is a pink dye one.

Oh no... Dip method says not pregnant now Sad. Will try 1 last time tomorrow then maybe give up... Till next time anyway. Thanks ladies xx

Second morning urine is almost always better and more concentrated than first. If you’re this late you can take them any time of the day

Well I just opened this one up and it only has 1 solid line.... This mornings had 1 solid and 2 faint.... So they look quite different.
I'll get some first response and try again first thing. At least its taking my mind off Covid haha.

You cannot open the digital ones. They work completely differently to ones meant to be read by eye. Two lines does not mean pregnant on a digital one.
