Hi
I've missed the latest news from Boris Johnson friends have told me that I'm now to stay home now for 12 weeks not to go out at all ? Is this correct ? As I can't seem to find anything on this surely I can attend my antenatal appointments ? Anyone know ?

I've just been on the Gov website and it says pregnant women with underlying heart conditions or something along those lines so would imagine so long as you are healthy then although you should definitely be social distancing and staying home as much as you can if you have an appointment or something you will be fine.

My midwife didn't say anything when I saw her Tuesday.

My understanding is there is no evidence it can pass through the placenta into baby, but to be safe you should socially distance. Also if you're third trimester your lung capacity is already reduced so you're more at risk and getting very ill at that stage in your pregnancy could lead to premeture labour.

Pregnant women with congenital heart conditions have been told to stay indoors completely for 12 weeks. Other pregnant women are still classed as vulnerable and should be working from home where possible and avoiding going out unless necessary and if needed then social distancing put in place.
