Bleeding at 35+5 should I worry

I noticed when I went to flush the loo that there was bright red/pink blood on the tissue in the toilet bowl...
I called the maternity unit and they said it is probably a 'show' and is normal at this stage.

Of course first thing I do is google it, but it seems like this type of bleeding is usually a mucus like texture when your mucus plug comes away? This was totally fresh watery blood I had and it wasn't mucus like at all. She said as baby moving normally and I don't think my waters have gone, it seems pretty normal at this stage. She advised me to put a pad on and call back in an hour or 2.

I've had a few lightning pains and tight feelings every now and again which are worse when standing or walking around but I assumed this was baby's head engaging or general baby movements.

Does anyone have any advice? Does this sound like a show or should I be going to hospital to get checked?

(I've had a very uncomplicated pregnancy so far, no issues, have a high posterior placenta)

If you are worried then ring back or go in.
Trust your instincts

GO WITH YOUR GUT! We as mothers know when something doesn't feel right regardless what your told to do!
I was in labour 6cm dilated and was told , no it's fake contractions .. because you haven't drank enough water! Turned out she was wrong when I had a baby an hour after going to hospital!
If you feel it isn't right ring and demand to be checked you can never be too sure , probably nothing but better safe than sorry

I called back this morning to say there's nothing on the pad at all.
I did mention I'm concerned because I thought a show was usually mucus like texture but this was typical fresh blood.

They said as long as baby's still moving normally and I'm not in any pain they don't have any concerns. As I'm positive blood group they don't have to worry about Rhesus negative bleeding.
Sad
