11w 3d and a cat from neighbourhood scratched me

A neighbor's cat who pops in uninvited came in today. It is not vicious but when i try to pick her up to take her out she bit me and scratched me on my leg. The wounds are not deep at all, but it was enough for a little bit of blood to be present in 3 places, they sting a littlebitas well. Initially i was not worried but only now i say the blood.
This cat spends most of her day out and not sure what is her vaccination history.
Normally i would not have been worried but i am 11w3d pregnant. (I had cats all of my childhood and teenage years but they didn't use a litter try indoors)
Any experiences or advice?

I’d get tested for toxoplasmosis, in your position. If you’ve always been around cats you’re likely to have immunity, but I wouldn’t take any chances.

You just need a tetanus injection if yours has run out. Your GP would be able to advise you when you last had it. The cats vaccination history has no bearing upon you.

You should be fine but best to call your GP for advice. My cat scratches me all the time but I would feel uneasy being scratched by one I didn’t know. Do you know who it belongs to?

The cat owners back garden is back to back with our garden buti don't know anything about them or the cat. They seem civilised and clean people.
This cat goes into every house with a door or window open and doesn't like to be invited outside against its wishes. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

The owners being clean people has no bearing on the cat’s health?

I called my midwife but just remembered that she doesn't work Monday's. Left her a voicemail, hope she'll call me tomorrow.

I have 7 cats and get scratched all the time, you just have to make sure it’s cleaned well afterwards. But you can request a toxoplasmosis test, it’s apparently not really that common in the UK according to my consultant. I had the test done and still came back negative!

If you've been bitten by a cat you should go and get the wounds checked over really - scratches are generally ok to self-treat unless severe, but animal mouths (like human mouths!) can harbour a lot of bacteria so you'll want to avoid infection further down the line. Maybe call 111 to see if you can get through to speak to someone first?

Hi OP, doctor here. Cat bites that have broken the skin generally need antibiotics even if you are not pregnant due to risk of pasturella infection. Please see your GP or local minor injuries unit for advice.
