Need some advice on c sections are they really that bad I'm so anxious and hate hospitals

Both my c-sections were fabulous. Calm, controlled, relaxed medical staff and fun banter. Skin to skin immediately and straight onto the breast. Up and walking the same day, discharged after two. No painkillers after a week. Driving no problem.

Far better than my hellish three-day natural labour and delivery!

May I ask why you're having one?

I've had 2, both great. Very chilled, didn't feel panicked or rushed at all. In fact because my PGP had been so bad, once the epidural took effect I could quiet easily have nodded off!
The doctors and nurses were all really friendly and chatty. And the baby is out really quickly.
The recovery isn't a walk in the park. But both times I was feeling relatively normal after a couple of weeks. It's just remembering to be careful for a little while after you start to feel better.

So the baby is breech I was breech to apparently it can be genetic but I think in a way it's a sign from god as I'm so anxious labour would be the worst experience for me

As you’re still up can we talk calming methods for your anxiety? Find your symptoms (I get a racing heart/the stomach lead/jittery feet), and breathe in for two focusing on that point, then breathe out through your mouth for five and bloooooow that discomfort out, and repeat. Cycle through multiple body sensations.

I don't really have physical symptoms my mind just starts racing with thoughts I can't be still and I just want to freak out and run .... I do want to have some teqniuques for the day to just get me through

Try hypnobirthing and do some antenatal yoga cos they will teach you how to breath to calm yourself down as well as guys birthing positions.

I never got to try any of this out really as i had an emcs which is prob worse than an elective one.

The recovery sucked though. I can't compare to a vaginal delivery though but i think unless you tear a lot the recovery is better.

Probably better if you go in prepared though. I think if i knew I was having a csec i would have felt meant prepared.
