Do I have to switch Dr's now?

I've just recently moved and my old GP/Midwife is out of my catchment area now. Do I have to switch to somewhere closer or can I stay with the old one until my baby is born?

You have to switch. Incase you need urgent care for the pregnancy.

you need to switch before baby is born so you're under the right area for your post natal home visits

Ask your doctors. I know some around us will accept out of catchment patients if they have the space.

Speak to your Dr, they will advise you best. I moved out of the area with just 6 weeks to go and mine suggested I said I could stay with them until after the birth, but this will not be the case for all GPs.
Speak directly with the GP though and not reception, as when I then updated my address with them straight after speaking to the Dr, the receptionist wasn't having any of it until the Dr came out and said he'd suggested it.
