Panicking about stomach cramps at 24 weeks

I am hoping someone can put my mind at rest. I have had stomach cramps all day, getting worse. They are like I have a stomach upset but I have been to the toilet and had a perfectly normal bowel movement and they are still going on, come and go but with no regularity.
You wouldn't think this was my fifth baby! I don't think they feel like labour but it has been a long time and this is worrying me as I don't seem to have any stomach upset that should go along with the cramping.
Also had a bit of backache like when I am due on.
It is a high risk pregnancy due to age and my weight plus I had two losses before this so I am very anxious about it.
Has anyone experienced similar and it just went away?

Time to call the midwife or your antenatal assessment unit to be on the safe side, I think! If you're high risk they may want you to come in to be checked over but nothing to panic about.

I've had this at 25 weeks and it wasn't anything serious in my case. The cramping was probably muscular pain due to the bump expanding (and/or trapped wind). Paracetamol and submerging the bump in a warm bath helped (as advised), and it went away.

Thanks for the reply @RyvitaBrevis , good to know you had experienced similar and it was nothing. Just waiting for Dh to get home and then I will try to find the contact number for the midwife

How longs it been since you last had a baby? 2 year gap and I did have a bit of cramping and backache around then but not an awful lot.

I would agree and ring labour ward, it's what they are there for (I should take my own advice as I worry about this baby too) but if it's nothing you will feel so much better x

It's been 9 years @MissPepper8 😳

@Daisypod It could very well be just stretchy pains I had a lot of periody type pains with my first, and that was after a miscarriage so I know how you feel xxx

Thanks, it seems to have gone away now thankfully and feeling movements from baby so going to have a sleep and see how things are tomorrow. Got midwife appointment in the morning anyway.

@Daisypod Great news, glad you're feeling better and that movements are normal. Good timing with the midwife appointment!
