I'm 29w now. Anterior placenta. I definitely don't feel 10kicks every hour. Sometimes he's really quiet all day just the odd prod or turn the nothing again for hours.
The most active he's ever been was on Sunday passed but since then just a few movements a day.
What are other people experiencing?

As if by magic my mw just called me after I posted this! She said I should feel movements roughly every 3 hours. A little flurry of movements.

31 weeks here with an anterior placenta...
I’ve been told that you no longer count kicks/movements as every woman/baby is different. The most important thing is to know what is normal for your baby and get in touch ASAP if anything changes.
For me, I can go hours without feeling anything, especially if I’m busy or on my feet a lot. But I also know that if I lie down on the sofa and drink a glass of cold water and feel nothing, because ordinarily he would wake up and start jabbing me, same as if I roll over in bed at night - if he doesn’t wake up when I do that, I’d be concerned.
Twice I’ve been to the maternity unit with reduced movement and both times he woke up and started jumping around as soon as they hooked me up!

Agree with pp, it's not about how many kicks an hour it's about your baby's pattern.

i can go hours without feeling them but i know he's a little active in the morning, then quiet then more active in the evening and when i go to sleep he decides to really wake up.
My dr told me you should feel them every 90 minutes but that is old advice!! My midwife said it's my baby's pattern, as i said i probably get about 4 sessions a day which x amount of kicks/rolls ect in one session and she said that's fine.

If in doubt, get checked out!

Yes I’d say try and recognise a pattern. Mine is first thing in the morning, I also notice something mid morning when at work, then the evening kicks and wiggles ! The MW always stress to me during appointments that movements are really important and if I am ever worried, to just call them.
