Best low budget doppler?

Okay nobody jump down my throat here as I've seen plenty do it. I'm almost 12 weeks and saw a lady at 11 weeks find her baby's heartbeat with a doppler. The concerns people have for dopplers is they use them instead of seeking medical advice, but should anything go wrong at my stage then nothing can be done anyway to save the pregnancy. I'm big and brave enough to stay calm if heartbeat can't be found, but if it can (probably will because I'm stubborn and know the position baby implanted from an 8 week ultrasound) then I will be able to go about my day without worrying ALL the time. I've decided I want to get a doppler and I'm not here for a lecture lol. Can anybody recommend one they know works? Hoping less than £30

Why would you ignore the advice of midwives and medical professionals who say NOT to use a doppler? Without training (at least three years of it) you don't know exactly what you're listening for. Plus you're subjecting the baby to unnecessary sound waves.

You say you didn't want a lecture but quite frankly it would be utter stupidity to ignore medical advice.

What if you get a doppler, hear the heartbeat one day then can’t hear it the next? Won’t that make you more anxious?

Even midwives don’t routinely listen for the heartbeat this early as it’s often not possible to hear it.

The bigger issue is thinking you are listening to a heartbeat when you aren't and then not paying attention to other signs that something may be wrong.

I had a cheap one off eBay. Worked fine.

The reality is that I threw it away because it would take about 20 mins to find the heartbeat (finding it once has no bearing on finding it again, it isn’t a case of knowing where to look). For that 20 mins I’d get increasingly worried and panicky. Then I’d find it and listen to it and feel ok. But I was doing it once a day, then twice a day, then I threw it away.

No lecture but it isn’t worth the bother. It’s only reassuring for the couple of mins you’re listening to it. But any of the ones you see on eBay should do the job.

Sonoline B is a good one. I had bought a used one. Then I resold it when was able to feel baby moving.

I agree with this, it's not just that your baby moves around in the womb, it's more that your womb moves around in your body. When you've had a big meal, things shift around in there as the bulky food moves through your intestines. This is true even when you're not pregnant. So I wouldn't be confident that you'd always be able to find it.
