Does anyone know of there is a an EPU at north Middlesex hospital? I've got a bit of spotting but haven't had my first appointment yet so not sure where to go. Thanks in advance

A quick google says that yes there is. I'm sure the spotting is nothing to worry about. Good luck Smile

Ah thanks so much. I got confused as the name is slightly different to the unit at my last hospital. Thanks for replying, I'll pop over.

There definitely is but when I went there many years ago I had to have my GP refer.
UCH is walk in, but you'd need to wait until morning now I think (and take a book, it can be a long wait).

Thanks guys. You're right, I have to get referred, that's crazy isn't it. I'll go to the other and take my book and Mumsnet tomorrow morning. I think I'm being over cautious but better to check hey

Just realised it's Friday - you should check whether the EPAU is open tomorrow, as if you go and it's closed the only option will be A&E.
Just a warning that Monday morning will be super busy too...

It's all so confusing and trying to figure it out when you are in a panic.

In my experience, AnE sent me home which was awful but luckily it was a weekday and my hospital (St Georges) has a walk in clinic at the EPU mon to fri until 11am which I went to the next day.
Otherwise, your GP will have to refer you which could take a few days. That was my experience, it could be different in different areas.

If you get nowhere over the weekend and can get there head to St George's early Monday morning.

Hopefully it will be nothing, I bled constantly for about 5 weeks and all is ok.
