Bump size?

Morning!
Just concerned I'm 25+4 and I literally hardly have a bump like I just look like put a little weight on.
Before pregnancy I was like your average size 10, not thin not over weight just kind of 'average'
When I went for my scan at 20 weeks baby was measuring fine and everything but just a little worried as to why I have like no bump. People who aren't as far on as me are like loads huger has anyone else felt like this?

Could just been hiding round the back?
Apparently that's not uncommon and means you don't see much in the way of a bump until it's really big

It's normal, as long as your baby is healthy I really wouldn't worry about a size of a bump. Everyone is different

Monday55 · 06/03/2020 09:03

how tall are you? First pregnancies can take longer to show.

Babyclark20 · 06/03/2020 09:11

I was the same with my first and people kept asking if I was sure I was pregnant...I'm 5'10 so think there was just room for him to hide. In the last month or two I suddenly got quite a large bump (he was 9lbs11) so may just be that you've not 'popped' yet

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 06/03/2020 09:13

I dont think it matters as long as its a healthy baby.

Pre-pregnancy I was also a size 10, and 5ft6. I started showing quite early for a first pregnancy, around 18 weeks or so. Im 38 weeks now.

A lesson ive learnt along that way is not to compare yourself to others, it never leads to happiness.

I am only 5' 2" and very small framed, so I expected to look enormous when I was pregnant. But I had very small bumps both times and didn't start 'showing' much until I was at least 25 weeks. I had colleagues who ever even noticed I was pregnant until I went on Mat Leave! It worried me a lot first time round, but all scans were fine and my DC were normal weight/size for their gestation. Some of us just seem to hide our babies somewhere! If your scans have been fine I would try not to stress too much.

I didn't look pregnant until the week I gave birth I also didn't get very big with my next two pregnancies either it depends how baby is lying. Everyone carries differently my midwife said if you have strong stomach muscles that can be a reason why you don't show as much. I think mine were the only muscle in my body that was in any kind of shape 😂.

Fluffybathmat · 06/03/2020 09:33

I'm exactly the same. I hadn't been showing at all up until 4 days ago when I hit 27 weeks. Scans all normal too.
I was getting concerned about the 'you don't look pregnant' and the 'I can't believe you're not showing yet' comments and I really started to feel conscious about it.
I've stupidly been comparing myself to other people but I realise now that hasn't helped me at all!
I'm sure you'll start 'popping' soon Grin

Thank you so much for replies! I'm only about 5'7 to so not overly tall/small either! I just had so many comments about 'where you keeping the baby' because I don't have a bump!! Least I can stop worrying abit now hahaha

I’m 5”10 and had the same comments throughout my pregnancy - a lot of people at work had no clue I was even pregnant, or just thought I was a lot earlier on.
Trust me, it makes it much easier when you’re ‘heavily pregnant’ and bump still isn’t too huge! I had no problems with putting shoes/socks on etc. But the biggest bonus was that my bump went almost immediately after giving birth - the next day it was just almost back to normal 😊
