  1. All day sickness causing (obviously) vomiting and constant diziness lasting months.
2. Dilemna - when do you tell people? Added stress of feeling like a crock of shit and not being able to tell anyone. 3. Stress of wondering if your baby is healthy or not - added stress of do you have tests or not? 4. Stretch marks. 5. Piling on weight. 6. Heartburn. 7. Sleep-disturbed nights. 8. Peeing constantly. 9. Stilton breasts. 10. Waddling. 11. Back-ache. 12. Constant questioning "Do you know if you're having a boy or a girl?" 13. Pestering around due date from impatient relatives "nothing happened yet then?" well obv not. 14. Sweating. Smelly sweating. 15. Waiting around for hours in hospital to see consultant for 30 second slot. 16. Fat feet. 17. Painful joints. 18. Knowledge that you also shortly have to get through childbirth.

None of that is great, but given that it took a year to conceive this baby, I'm not going to be moaning too much!

Kathyis6incheshigh · 06/09/2007 20:18
  1. breathlessness
  2. being kicked internally
  3. constantly being told not to do things
  4. not being allowed to eat soft or blue cheese
Rowlers · 06/09/2007 20:20

Kathy - good ones
Beansprout - glad you finally got there!

i know

i was fed up sometimes too

but reminded myself how lucky i was on a daily basis

I know what you mean. I had PRE natal depression with both of my pregnancies as I found them such a hard slog and had complications both times. Don't want to start a slanging match as everyone is entitled to their opinions but being made to feel guilty by other people for having negative thoughts really just adds to the already big list of issues that you may be having to deal with.

Tutter · 06/09/2007 20:29

ok

was gate-crashing topic anyway as am not pg

Kathyis6incheshigh · 06/09/2007 20:29

I know what you mean, Rubberduckquacks. Tutter, I never forgot how lucky I was all the way through - to have conceived relatively easily, to have a condition that made me feel like shit but was not actually harming the baby (hyperemesis). But the fact is there are elements of pregnancy that are hard to deal with and it can help to have a moan about it/sympathise with others who are.
Obviously not being able to eat blue cheese etc is utterly, utterly trivial. I'm sorry you were upset by this thread.

Piggy · 06/09/2007 20:35
  1. starting ever so slightly inappropriate threads
susiemj · 06/09/2007 21:40

I love being pregnant because I really want a baby and it makes me happy feeling the babe move around.

I hate being pregnant because I have hyperemesis and SPD and am therefore in constant physical discomfort.

You can do both, no?

I love being pregnant!
