Where was your first midwife booking appointment?!

Hi everyone

Hoping you guys can put my mind at ease! Currently 7 weeks pregnant. Received a call from the booking team over the weekend giving me my first midwife appointment for tomorrow morning. It's our first baby so all very exciting! However, when the booking lady called, I was actually on a building site and really struggling to hear! Thankfully I caught the date and time but now I realise I have no idea where the appointment actually is! Never felt more stupid! I presumed it would be at my regular GP practice but now I'm doubting myself! Called the GP surgery to check, they said they don't have any info on the midwife appointments as they are arranged separately and to call the midwife booking line. I've done that but its just an answering machine that says they'll get back to me within a week. Not helpful when appointment is tomorrow! Am I right to assume the appointment will be at the GP practice?! I realise the answer probably varies a lot. Imagine the embarrassment if I miss my first appointment due to being in the wrong place! I'm in the Tayside area of Scotland if that helps

Thank you

Mine were both at the midwife led unit at my hospital. My sister in the next town over had hers at home. Hope you managed to get through op.

5dc. 1 at local hospital. 1 at children’s centre. 2 at gp surgery. 1at home (but that’s only because the referral was cocked up, then the mw was off sick so I was about 16 weeks by the time it happened).

Finally received a phone call everyone and we have an answer!

Can confirm mine is just at my usual GP practice. What a palaver! Thanks so much for all of your responses, seems it really does vary everywhere. No doubt I'll be back with more outrageously stupid questions in the months to come. Thank you
