Thankfully for everyone there won’t be a picture on this thread! 37weeks pregnant and have “dropped” visibly apparently.

But I’ve noticed my episiotomy scar has been painful the past few days and last night I noticed my actual vagina is practically blocked by a lump of, well into not sure what, but it’s skin/tissue/me and not my cervix or a babies head (if I squeeze past it I can feel my cervix) it’s painful and obvious new. Had back pain and cramping so kind of had a mini hope that it was infact a head and I’d sneeze n have a baby on two paracetamol this time lol

I haven’t a clue whether this is a phone the midwife job or a yes that’s normal leave it alone thing. I just definitely don’t remember it with ds. Anyone been there? Should I ring them up? What the heck do I say.. the bat cave is blocked?

How's it going now ? Hope all was ok.

It sounds like it could be a prolapse. This is when the muscles between your vaginal wall and either/or bladder/rectum are weakened and the bladder or rectum pushes into the vagina. If you google and have a look at diagrams you might get a better idea. Have you had a previous vaginal delivery?

acquiescence · 01/03/2020 17:07

Sorry silly question, you obviously have had a vaginal delivery if you have an episiotomy scar!

Just spat my juice out at the bat cave is blocked... 😂 . Did you phone ? What is it? Hope all is well.

Sounds like it could be a prolapse. I would speak to your midwife.

I phoned.. confused the life out of the midwife on the phone, without mentioning the bat cave Grin. Got told to nip in to see them.. one found a small rectocele which hid from the consultant.. but it’s next to a small funky piece of scar which has rubbed its self and looks irritated. Which is more likely what I’m feeling symptom wise.

Just to do my pelvic floors for now, they won’t do anything unless I’m having issues with my bowels and I’m finished having a family..

DP is throughly traumatised he googled prolapses grin]

I had something hanging out the bat cave after having DS. That was an interesting call to 111. This is not really relevant as it was painless and somehow just.. went back in...

Good luck with your little bat. Flowers

@Summerhouse hopefully this one just retracts back where it came from too... dp had a point of me probably poking at it didn’t help the uncomfortable side of things.

Thankyou I’ll need it Grin

I had a small rectocele and cystocele after birth. It was very annoying but not painful, I could feel it like a dislodged tampon. The sensation went after 6 months or so. Hopefully yours will go a little bit after you have your baby. Keep up the pelvic floor exercises!
