Colleague’s daughter has mumps

This may just be pregnancy anxiety but opinions greatly welcomed.

I’m only 10+2 and a close colleague’s daughter has contracted mumps - although she is vaccinated.
It seems like my colleague’s daughter has had symptoms for a while but they reached a crescendo yesterday evening and the doctor confirmed it was mumps.
My colleague is vaccinated and also seems fine; although, I’ve read about incubation periods and the fact that the vaccine is not a 100% guarantee.

I too have received the MMR + booster.

Is it completely irrational to be concerned?

Some of my other work colleagues are, and have taken the day off today due to caring for loved ones with compromised immune systems or the like.

*I work in very close proximity to my colleague.

The NHS advice is:

^"In the past it was thought developing mumps during pregnancy increased the risk of miscarriagee_, but there's little evidence to support this.

But, as a general precaution it's recommended pregnant women avoid close contact with people known to have an active mumps infection (or any other type of infection).

If you're pregnant and you think you've come into contact with someone with mumps but you haven't been vaccinated, contact your GP or midwife for advice."^

Therefore, given you've been vaccinated there seems very little cause for alarm. That said, in your shoes I would contact your midwife and ask for advice.
