Window to the womb reviews

Hi everyone,

I’ve got a well-being and gender scan booked at window to the womb on Thursday, I just wanted to know if anyone had any reviews or feedback if they’ve used them before?

I’ll be 16 weeks 1 day at the scan :) I had another early scan with a different company when I was 8 weeks but it all felt a bit rushed so hoping this is a better experience.

Also does anyone else get awful anxiety before scans?? The wait kills me, I always get so worried there’s something wrong with baby Sad

I went to one at 16 weeks to find out the sex of my baby. I found it a really good experience we got to see the baby in 2D and also had a peek in 4D. They took lots of photos of the baby during

I had the well being scan at 16 weeks and the 4D at around 28. Both were absolutely amazing, the staff were great and spent a long time trying to get the perfect images during the well being scan as baby wasn't being too social. The video from the 4D scan was incredible, I still watch it now and she's 6 months old. They're well worth a visit 😊

Sorry didn't get to finish.

We found out the sex in the room but they will also write it down and put it in an envelope for you if you would like.

Afterwards we got to go through all the photos they took on the computer and chose some to print out. If you wanted to you could pay extra for more prints or things like teddies with the heartbeat in too.

Oooooo you are the same dates as me with your pregnancy!

I went to WTTW for an early scan - it was fab and really reassuring (we will forget the bit where the sonographer asked.if I would like to insert the internal camera.myself)

Had a gender scan done there when pregnant with my 3 year old DD and it was a lovely experience - also loved that I got to take away a DVD of the scan also

berrynice16 · 25/02/2020 10:45

And yes - I always get anxiety before going for a scan :(

Villanelle92 · 25/02/2020 10:53

I had a well-being and gender scan at around 16-17 weeks. I loved it. They made us feel so comfortable, there were 3 HUGE screens to watch the scan on, perfectly clear. They didn’t have to tell us the sex, it was blatantly obvious we were having a boy from the moment she started scanning Grin
We also sat at a computer afterwards picking which photos we wanted. They couldn’t get a clear scan of his face as he had his hands covering it so she gave us some 4D scanning which we had not booked or paid for, so that was great.
We bought the heartbeat bear, could have bought all kinds. Take some extra money with you if you have it because you will want to buy something. They weren’t trying to push a sale on us though either. Very laid back.
I would go again if I was having another baby, really positive experience.

Had a few early scans and a sex scan with window to the womb, they were great!
So friendly and spent lots of time looking around and explained everything in detail!
I think anxiety is a pregnancy thing, i had the same before every scan but i put that down to a previous miscarriage. Even now at 31 weeks i'm anxious about lots of things.

Enjoy your scan :)

I had a reassurance and a gender scan at wttw both were fabulous, staff were lovely although they do try to upsell. Things changed when I had my 4D scan, they couldn't get pictures as I have an anterior placenta , didn't seem bothered and didn't want to refund. Read the Terms and conditions very carefully would be my only advice.

I think it just depends on where you go as it's a franchise company so some are great, but not all

Beau2020 · 25/02/2020 11:53

I've had 2 early reassurance scans at WTTW and had very different experience. First one was great, staff were friendly enough. Second one the sonographer had no idea what she was doing and she told us we were having twins! I even got 2 pictures and 2 babies were measured with heartbeats. Unfortunately she was completely wrong and actually it was a baby and a yolk sac. I was left devastated and confused and I was told that private scans shouldn't really be done to avoid this mental stress.

I've since had more scans at another local family trusted business and he's absolutely amazing! I trust him so much and he's a lot more concerned and intimate about the experience compared to WTTW. So perhaps just do research around your area before making a decision xx

I had a good experience with a gender and reassurance scan at their Bagshot one, they were running a bit late but otherwise everyone was lovely and professional.

CloMo1995 · 25/02/2020 16:00

They are amazing. I had a gender scan with my oldest and youngest (would of also gone with my middle child but by the time I found out I was pregnant it was time to have a 20 week scan anyway lol)
They are lovely and so welcoming, and as a quite shy person they immediately made me feel at ease, plus both the gender scans where right. I was 16+4 with my oldest and bang of 16 weeks with my youngest x

LittleBrownBaby · 25/02/2020 23:39

I had an absolutely awful experience with them and the NHS said the report they gave me wasn't worth the paper it was written on - littered with inconsistencies and incorrect info. The woman at WttW said "you're probably miscarrying" without any real evidence of that. It was such an awful experience. However the other replies seem really positive - maybe I was just unlucky.

April1990 · 26/02/2020 09:04

I had an early scan with WTTW at 9 weeks and had a great experience. Nice big screen and wasn't rushed at all - totally different to NHS scan. I've booked the early gender and reassurance scan in a couple of weeks and can't wait to go again 🥰

PutOnAHappyFace · 26/02/2020 10:20

I had a awful experience with a really rude member of staff who told me my baby had died like she was telling me the price of my shopping in a shop, and was so rough with me. I did complain and they offered me my money back (which I refused, it wasn't about the money) and said she would he retrained so I'd like to think they did do that but who knows.
