Dealing with fear in pregnancy

Hi guys,

I'm 26 weeks into my first pregnancy and have been told that my baby is small for gestational age and that one of the possible reasons for this is that I caught chickenpox 5 weeks ago. Basically there' a v small (under 2%) chance that baby was infected and if baby has been infected then the effects could be very serious.

I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to deal with this sort of information as it's hard not to be fearful but it's out of my control Sad

Has anyone else faced difficult information in their pregnancy? Any tips on how to deal with it?

Hi OP. We're really sorry to hear you're having to deal with this. We'll keep everything crossed for a good outcome.

We just wanted to pop in this morning to bump your thread in hopes someone will be around today who might have experience of this sort of situation.
