I would guess that subway being very processed will be fine. I don't think it's recommended to eat deli meat in general in pregnancy but chances are it'll be fine. It's due to an increased risk of listeria but that will be small anyway

I ate BMTs multiple times until it suddenly occurred to me it's deli meat. I haven't since but can't see it being an issue if I did

You will be fine, I’m from Europe and it’s normal to eat salami, no restrictions in European countries (I’m sure French eat lots of cheeses too, which not allowed in this country..). I’m 17w and I eat salami from Italian deli often. Did same with my dd few years ago and she is absolutely fine.

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 22/02/2020 13:37

You'll be fine. Ive eaten all sorts of things that are 'forbidden' in pregnancy.

RhymingRabbit3 · 22/02/2020 18:31

You will be fine. The risk is very very tiny. In any case theres nothing you can do now so no point driving yourself mad with worry.

RyvitaBrevis · 22/02/2020 19:49

The risk is vanishingly small, and I'm sure Subway meat is highly processed and the poor pigs have never got near the countryside to get infected with anything, nothing to worry about!

@fool11 In France, Germany and Italy they do routine blood testing for toxoplasmosis antibodies in pregnancy, which they don't do here, so they manage the risk of eating uncooked meat (or cured rather than cooked) in other ways.
