Sterilising soft toys e.g. rattles, stacking rings

Hi, I'm a first time mum. I've been given and bought some baby toys e.gm soft rattles, diff stacking rings. What is the best way to clean them? Some have textures/ things in them which wouldn't make them suitable to go in a washing machine. What am I best doing? E.g. soaking in Milton, anti bacterial spray? Freezing? Thanks, Rachael

No need to sterilise toys. As soon as your baby is old enough to hold toys, they will also be touching (e.g.) the floor, people, etc, and then putting their hands in their mouth.

A truly sterile environment is not possible, and would be detrimental.

Really do not worry

If the toys are dirty/dusty wash them in warm soapy water if appropriate and air dry.

I washed all the 2nd hand fabric toys I was given in normal handwash liquid in the sink. The plastic ones or those with batteries got either dunked in soapy water or sprayed with a basic cleaner. Nothing was sterilised, there’s no need.

I've frozen things e.g. when DC had a sick bug. I wouldn't routinely do so.

I tossed everything I could into the washing machine. Not bothered to clean anything that has batteries in them. Zero point trying to sterilise anything, and tbh none of it stays clean for long anyway.

Ok thanks for replies, they don't look dirty but just wanted to play it safe.
