What noticeable symptoms did you get before you got your BFP and how many dpo were you??

Just curious as it seems like it could be nothing or Everything when you are ttc! Grin

No symptoms prior and none for a good while after.

anjahaa · 18/02/2020 10:06

We were trying for 18 months and I swear I had more symptoms on the months that I want pregnant.

The one and only thing that stood out before my BFP was excessive saliva in my mouth. Like, you know when you're about to be sick, and you over produce saliva, that happened but it was every day without being sick

SkyBlue20 · 18/02/2020 10:28

My most obvious one was really sensitive/tingly/hard nipples...and that hasn’t stopped since! I was 15DPO when I did my test so that just have been about 10DPO.

Michette · 18/02/2020 11:20

Thanks for your replies, so overall not much to look out for...

The problem is that most of the symptoms can also be symptoms that your period is due, so it’s hard to say really, which is actually really annoying - it’s so easy to overanalyse every little thing, which is totally what I did!

Beau2020 · 18/02/2020 11:51

I got a nose bleed!

PrinnyPree · 18/02/2020 12:06

I didn't notice any symptoms and I was about 16 DPO before I got my first squinter and took a couple more days before I got an unmistakable line. x

Wasn't till I hit week 6/7 the symptoms really started coming thick and fast. Before that I kept wondering if I was really pregnant at all. (I had some cheap dip stick tests from amazon and tested every other day to reassure myself lol)

SoupDragon · 18/02/2020 12:07

The only symptom I got each time was my period not arriving on time. 🙂

CrazyKitkatLady · 18/02/2020 12:08

My only symptom before was really sore boobs! All the other fun stuff didn’t kick in until later.

Lilice · 18/02/2020 13:45

Sore boobs like every month but this time they were sore on the sides and under which was unusual

Shmithecat2 · 18/02/2020 13:47

None, just felt like I was getting typical PMT. And I was 7 days late before I got my BFP Shock

Danielle95lab · 18/02/2020 14:19

I got my BFP yesterday I actually took seven tests cause I couldn't believe it.

No symptoms at all, wasn't even due on until today it was just a gut feeling. Honestly was convinced a few days ago I was coming on my period early cause I had cramping. Now absolutely nothing.

I know you hear this all the time but the moment I stopped caring so much and analysing every symptom it happened

EastMidsMumOf1 · 18/02/2020 14:23

Nothing for my 1st until about 5wks, 2nd really sore and painful boobs and this one now was extreme tiredness, having to wake up in the night to go for a wee and always being hungry!
I started getting those symptoms around 4 days before my BFP.

Prettylittlelady · 18/02/2020 14:46

I was strangely emotional, as in I almost burst into tears twice at work at the most trivial of things and that was quite telling for me I think. Didn’t have sore boobs until after period was missed but I had a slight ache in my lower back. I think I noticed that because I was looking out but the emotional thing took me by surprise

Saoirse22 · 18/02/2020 15:24

My symptoms started the day I expected to get my period, which was the first day of week 4. Took me 24 hours to realise what I was going through was most definitely not period pain! It felt different and I just knew.

I experienced sharp pains, like period cramps worse than any I've ever experienced, together with tiredness, dizziness and diarrhoea. My breasts became extremely sore a week before that (they are still the same in week 13, oh joy). Also, I got an extremely wet feeling down there and that was a sure sign for me when added on top of everything else - heavy watery discharge (feels like your period is flowing out of you) is often an early sign of pregnancy.

I waited to do a urine test for 6 more days, but I felt I was pregnant right away.

Seasprayandsunshine · 18/02/2020 15:35

Crazy dreams, hot sweats in sleep, increased discharge and cramps/twinges - like my period was about to start.

Graphista · 18/02/2020 16:50

Really sore boobs! Every time from about a week past ovulation point. So bad I had to walk with arms crossed supporting them cos bras were useless and the slightest movement killed!

Pregnancy 1 - badly bleeding gums and metallic taste early on

Pregnancy 2 - abdominal pain but that one was part ectopic

Pregnancy 3 - had a really weird sense that I just “knew” I was pregnant straight away the weekend I conceived. Within a week boobs aching, nausea (all day ‘morning’ sickness my arse!), I was off alcohol while ttc anyway and at a group meal out accidentally took a sip of friends wine spritzer rather than my lime and soda and i spat it straight back out! Honestly tasted like gone off vinegar gross! Bought pal another drink of course Blush

Chanel05 · 18/02/2020 17:03

I had absolutely none whatsoever before bfp. Though I did eat three bags of pickled onion space raders on the trot on the evening of 9dpo and got my bfp the next morning.

Chwil20 · 18/02/2020 19:56

Stabbing/aching pains deep underneath my breasts/chest, which I never experienced before. Implantation bleeding the day before. After that I just knew.

JSan123 · 18/02/2020 20:14

Ds 1 cramps SORE BOOBS emotional and going off certain food
Ds 2 feeling exhausted
Ds 3 nausea and crazy dreams

All different!

BeHappyAndSmile · 18/02/2020 20:15

Absolutely nothing. I actually said to my other half that I could feel I was about to come on about 4 days before I was due. The the next day woke up and just felt a need to test and it was positive. Very unexpected and 2 weeks later still don't feel pregnant, barely any symptoms up until today (5w1d). Even those could just be general grottiness though.

Lulubump94 · 18/02/2020 20:21

My boobs were the main sign- very large and sore. I was also convinced I was going to get my period as had bad cramps quite a few times!

eyesbiggerthanstomach · 18/02/2020 20:25

Motion sickness

MilkLady02 · 18/02/2020 20:27

One week after my period would have been due I felt like I could smell EVERYTHING! I’ve never had a particularly good sense of smell, but during pregnancy right from the start I had the nose of a sniffer dog! Tested that day and BFP!

fibeee · 18/02/2020 21:00

My symptoms felt like extreme PMT. I was very confused about why my period was so late until the penny dropped.
