Sorry, this isn't a pleasant post, and I'm not sure how best to describe this, so I'm struggling to google for information.

For the last few weeks I have been getting pains / discomfort in my crotch. It feels as if something heavy (baby / uterus etc) is weighing down into my knickers. The pain is worse when I stand or walk for a while.

I just feel like everything needs scooping up and supporting. It is a bit like the knicker equivalent of large boobs aching if you move around without a bra.

There doesn't seem to be any physical change (as far as I can tell). No other issues at the moment apart from awful lower back pain.

Is it likely to be my pelvic floor or something else? Has anyone had a similar experience, and what can I do to relieve the discomfort?

Sounds like maybe vulval varicose vein? When you stand in the shower can you feel anything? I have been experiencing similar heaviness and in my case that's the cause. Bloody awful but hey ho!

Hi

18 weeks and counting and I’ve had pretty much every pain in my pelvis/vagina you can imagine!

I joke with my husband that is like a roulette to see which is going to hurt/get a stabbing pain next - my vag, my bum hole or my pelvis!

Google round ligament pain and lightning crotch or, as someone on here told me, “Fanny Daggers” 😂😂.

Basically don’t panic unless you’re out bleeding or spotting or the pain is constant! And even if there isn’t any of the above call your midwife or gyne/EPU!

x

P.s a nice warm (but not too hot) bath helps WONDERS

Thank you both.

I did google those @daydreamdaisy , they sound scary! I can't feel anything unusual though so I'm not sure.

@MrsRose2018 I went through some of the posts on here about 'fanny daggers' this seems to last longer than the short stabs some people have described, but I'm suspecting it is something to do with stretching ligaments.

There's nothing glamorous at all about this whole pregnancy thing, is there!!
