Has anyone had experience wihh spd and c section? I had a c section with my twins first time and booked in for another section on Monday due to severe spd and other complications and wondering about the recovery afterwards, the spd is that bad I can't walk without crutches and can't go anywhere far without a wheelchair, it's absolute agony and I can remember the pain from the c section so just wondering if anyone has a experience with both? And how long they were kept in hospital after c section?
Xx

I had horrendous spd twice. Both times I had a csection.
It was amazing, first time in months I wasn't in pain! And the spd totally resolved itself after the first, so I only had the csection pain to deal with (mush easier than spd!)
It's still lingering after the second, almost 4 years on, but it's nothing like what it was while I was pregnant, more niggly unless I really push myself, and it really didn't bother me much after the birth.
Hopefully you'll be the same, and it will totally resolve once the baby is born.

Hey, I had both and muscle separation in my stomach also. Although I wasn't suffering as bad as you, no crutches.
I had an emergency c section and was still only kept in for 24 hours, spd kind of dissappeared. I think more due to me concentrating on recovery of the section.
Good luck.

I had c section first time round, no spd and it took me months to recover, never knew pain like it. Then with my second I had spd and was on crutches by the end. Had another c section and the spd disappeared overnight and the recovery from c section was nothing short of a miracle after the first time - I was up and about after a few days. I’m convinced that they stitched me up wrong after the first one as it was emergency. With the second it was planned and my dp asked the surgeon to check my scar as it was a right mess so they took their time to stitch me up again and I’m certain that made a difference.

The only reminder of the spd I’ve been left with is the occasional feeling that my pelvis/hips are weaker but that’s it. Two completely different experiences but I’ve heard a lot of people say spd tends to go once the baby has arrived.
