Bright red blood at 10+1

Hi ladies.
I have previously had 3 MMC. 2 mmc the had my DD, then another MMC. Currently 10+1. Today i started bleeding bright red blood. Enough to need a pad. Rang the EPU and they told me to go in. I was examined, and told my cervix is open a tiny bit, but that's because ive had DD and 3 MC. Other than that, it looks as it should. She did say that, that could change over the course of a hour. So whether I MC is uncertain. I have been booked in for a scan on Tuesday, I guess im just looking for some reassurance. Since coming home from the hospital, the bleeding has slowed, and is now brow, which I'm hoping is a good sign. Ive had period type pains. But had them all the way through. Has anyone been through similar, and had a positive outcome? I also had a scan last week at 9+1, and hoping it's true that your chances of mc drop after seeing a heartbeat.

TIA x

@SavanahXx hope today goes well x

@Robstersgirl the doctor yesterday didn't mention cervical erosion but previously when I've mentioned my earlier spotting to my own midwife she said it could be cervical sensitivity caused by bowel movements, intercourse etc and everyone Ive seen over the last few days has always asked nearly straight away have you had intercourse so must be common? I have an appointment with my midwife in the next month so will mention it to her and see who would be able to check/confirm - have you had any luck on confirming what is causing your bleeds? X

SavanahXx · 18/02/2020 12:18

Thank you @Charchar19

I'm on my way to the hospital. Will update when I'm done. Fingers and toes crossed x

Thank you everyone! Everything's turned out absolutely fine. They can't find the cause of the bleed, it could either be because I have a UTI or a small bleed on the edge of the placenta which has now gone though. So they haven't got a clue. They have told me to still take it easy because it could happen again.

I'm so bloody happy it's unreal. Best day late birthday present ever.

@SavanahXx so glad to hear that everything went well with the scan and baby is ok!

So weird to read that so many of us have red bleeding due to unknown reasons but baby/placenta is ok but goes to show its not always bad news. Xx

SavanahXx · 18/02/2020 13:58

@Charchar19 thank you! Its crazy isnt it. I had convinced myself that this would be my 4th mc. I'm just so over the moon, glad our bubs are perfectly fine!Xx

Hi ladies. I've stated to spot again today, started off as brown, then turned deep red, then gone back to brown. Sorry for the tmi but also had a few stringy bits. Should I be worried? Trying my best not to panic. I have my dating scan on Monday, so at least it isn't a 5 day wait again, to make sure everything is ok!!

Try not to worry I've had 2 losses at 7 and 14 weeks. I now have a 9 month old and bled from 7 weeks with her bright red with huge clots until 17 weeks would stop and start as it pleased but I and her are fine. People say aslong as its brown.. no clots... the midwife told me to go by pain not colour which reassured me abit. I did have about 15 scans though Haha goodluck take care x

SavanahXx · 21/02/2020 22:45

I'm so sorry about your previous losses @xJune88 and congratulations on your DD! Ive been getting sharp cramps, but had them all the way through the pregnancy, so going off pain for me is abit poo. As soon as I get a sharp pain I'm convinced it's all over. But my past two scans have proven me wrong! I wish I wasn't such a worrier. Thank you for the well wishes 😆😆 I hope you're enjoying snuggles with your DD! X

I feel for you! Hope your scan on Monday goes well. I also have one on Monday after previous mc and bleeding in this pregnancy. Good luck x

Charchar19 · 23/02/2020 07:18

@SavanahXx so I havent stopped bleeding since last sunday had another scan Friday and all is well with baby and the doctors just keep telling me that sometimes this happens. They have advised i only go back if i get pain or clots and to not worry (bit hard when I'm a natural worrier!) Luckily I have a private 16 week gender scan booked next weekend but all seems well with baby. Hope your scan goes well tomorrow x

xJune88 · 23/02/2020 16:38

Thankyou it's worth it all. Ah right that makes it more difficult suppose you have to go with your 'normal' though keep us updated xx

SavanahXx · 23/02/2020 18:31

Thank you @LittleBrownBaby I hope your scan goes well too! X

@Charchar19 it's awful isnt it. You spend all that time thinking that bleeding isnt normal, then this happens. It's crazy. Wish I could be one of them people that have the easiest pregnancies. I hope your scan goes well too. I bet you're excited to find out the sex!x

@xJune88 it is indeed. I have a 14 month old DD and she's amazing! Wouldn't change her for the world. Babies panic you from day one don't they! Then its even more panicking once they are here! Ill make sure to update after my scan tomorrow xx

Hi ladies. I hope you're all well! I had my appointment at the antenatal clinic. Had a scan, all was well with the baby. He/she is a right wriggly one! Im now a day behind again. Due 9/9/20. They also found a sub chronic bleed. So I'll have extra scans, followed by seeing a consultant after each scan.

So glad baby is ok! Congratulations take it easy xx

LittleBrownBaby · 24/02/2020 22:50

@SavanahXx great news!! Well done, so pleased for you.

My scan went well (ish) pregnancy is progressing from empty sac - to sac with yolk sac. Back in a week to hopefully see a baby!

Charchar19 · 29/02/2020 18:20

@SavanahXx glad to hear they found out what is causing your bleeds! Must be such a relief!
Still bleeding at week 16 but now goes from a light bleed in the morning once or twice a week and then spotting in between so has improved. Had gender scan today and all looks well and we found out we are having a baby boy soo excited! Will get them to look again at our 20 week scan for any causes of the bleeding but feeling a lot better now its not as heavy and baby is clearly ok.
