I’m 33+4 weeks pregnant with our third. First two were born naturally. This baby is transverse, not horisontal but lying across my tummy with her head in my right hip and bottom under my left rib. What can I do to encourage her to move into the right position? I’ve been to the baby spinners website, but wanted to hear real stories. If you were in a similar position please share what happened at the end. Thanks

I’m currently 35 weeks, at my 32 week appointment I was told baby is transverse, but that there was still plenty of time for her to move. I am due a 36 week scan next week to check that she has moved, I will let you know the outcome either way.
It’s highly likely baby will move, but if not a natural birth when baby is in a transverse lie is extremely dangerous and it will be strongly recommended you have an ECV and if that doesn’t work then a cesarian section, but don’t worry about that just yet.

Ds was transverse up until around 34-35 weeks when he flipped head down. From your description he was in a similar position to yours. I did a lot of pilates, the stuff on Spinning Babies and walking. He didn't engage quite right though and was eventually delivered by emcs having got stuck at full dilation not helped by his giant head.

Am 34+5 and my wee boy is transverse but I have a heart shaped womb And gallstones so I’ve got an appointment next week with consultant for a date for and elective section.
I’ve been in and out of hospital with the gallstones so they were going to induce me early anyway but because of the way he is lying they are opting for the section.

Am so nervous about it all. This is my first am 35yrs xx

My DD was perfectly head down at 34 weeks, then flipped to transverse at 39.

I had a planned C section and both the op and the recovery were surprisingly easy.

DD is now 6 weeks, and other than extra monitoring for hip problems (common in breach and transverse babies) it's been remarkably straightforward.
