Tailbone pain at 13 weeks, anyone else?

I’m 13 and a half weeks and the last day or so I’ve had such sore pain in my tailbone. It’s worse when sitting for too long or lying on my back, has anyone else had this? If I sit for too long it’s sore and stiff to even walk (and I have an office job which doesn’t help!)

Should I be worried?

It’s so sore Sad

Is there a lump? Could be a pilonidal sinus if there's a lump there.

I could cry everytime I stand up from my office chair at work. I gradually feel more & more uncomfortable until I have to stand & then it’s like someone I’d stabbing me in said tailbone! I’ve had it from very early on. It’s never worried me, it’s just very unpleasant! Aches & pains are all very much part of pregnancy unfortunately as your hormones do peculiar things to your muscles & ligaments!

A donut cushion has helped a little at work.. takes some of the pressure off. I feel a bit silly using it though Blush

@Bol87 use a coccyx cushion, take the pressure off the tailbone completely where the donut doesn't.

I had this! I brought in my ball from home which helped. Thankfully it went away around 20 weeks

I had this, it was horrible! I got a pregnancy pillow to sleep with at night that went between my knees and either that sorted it or it went away on its own... I’m not giving up the pillow though! (One of those giant U shaped ones)

Im right there with you! I’ll be 13 weeks on Monday and my tailbone has been killing me. I’ve done tons of research & I’ve read that the tailbone sits right behind the growing uterus which can be applying pressure or can simply be a result of hormones. Either way doesn’t hurt to ask your on/gyn next you see them. I’ve heard yoga may help! Just know you’re not alone in this! Halo
