Pregnancy discharge (TMI warning)

Last few weeks I have had a bit more thick white normal pregnancy discharge. But today baby has felt really low down and can feel movements right behind the pubic bone as well as sharp pains in my cervix. Along with this.... twice today I have had two fairly large solid lumps of jelly like discharge which I have never seen before. Am currently 33 weeks - is this normal?

Could this be your plug coming away?
Not necessarily a precursor to labour because they can reform

It could be your mucus plug, if it's like a snotty consistency. Otherwise, could it be thrush? I went to the doctors with something similar, wasn't snotty but a bit jelly like, no other symptoms and they said it was just thrush - very common in pregnancy apparently towards the end because of change in hormones.

I am experiencing this at almost 38 weeks and have been over the last couple of weeks. About 2 days ago though baby’s head is literally hanging out. Labour is probably very near. But it sounds like you are just losing mucus plug however don’t be alarmed as they do reform. I’ve been losing mine since probably the 30 week mark. If you’re worried just give your midwife or helpline a call, that’s what they’re there for. Just for piece of mind. Congrats on your baby.

I feel like it could be my plug as it’s very obviously different to normal discharge and it’s in a formed shape. I never lost my plug until I was around 4/5cm with DD so this is all new to me. As it can re grow again I shouldn’t worry too much but combined with the sudden pressure, lower movements and stabbing pains is that normal at this stage too and usually related to causing my plug to come away or just complete coincidence?

Your baby may have moved to engage a bit more than it has before, with the extra pressure causing a bit of the plug to come away.

My midwife said they weren't particularly concerned about the plug coming away as its not necessarily a sign of labour, but they did want to know if you were having contractions or your waters were breaking.
