How do you prepare anti reflux milk?

It says to leave boiled water 45 mins before using and then leave bottle for 7 mins before feeding. How on earth do you do this on a night and when you’re out? I can’t predict when baby will wake up so that I can turn the kettle on?

I’ve read some people take a bottle of cooled boiled water out with them and then add an extra amount of boiled water from a flask and then the formula but what if you’re out all day? Can we take bottles full of water out for a full day? I thought they needed to be stored in a fridge.

All help is welcomed please. Baby is currently on gaviscon and it’s not working so looking at anti reflux milk but it sounds like a nightmare unless you’re in home all day.

Just take a flask of boiling water and a flask of cooled boiled water out with you. Formula in, boiling water in, mix, add the cooled water. Otherwise make up the bottles and keep in a cool bag with an ice pack for up to 4 hours. Or make up feed when out before needs it and wait for it to cool.
Its really not complicated once you know what you're doing!
You can also store made up feeds in a fridge for 24 hours, so make up feeds before you go to bed if you dont want to faff with boiling water.. or just get a perfect prep!

Thank you they say not to store them in the fridge though as they go too thick with the reflux milk? As that’s what I do now with normal milk.

Yeah, they can go a bit thick so I only store them like if its urgent. If not left long they're usually fine. The hot and cooled water was always the easiest (or the prep machine!)
