Hi OP, I've been on Tinzaparin since I found out I was pregnant and today is my last injection at 34 weeks. In my case I take them as part of my treatment for recurrent miscarriage (1 daily injection) and will have to have 6 more weeks of them after delivery. They're not too bad, the needle is super thin and many times I don't even feel it going in. I started in my belly as I've got a nice roll of fat there, but when that got too sore I changed to my thighs. The first time you do it is the worse one... you'll get used to it in no time!

Hi Avearage, mines have a small needle, they r not like a pen. I always put them in my stomach, tried once in my arm and hurt much more. Some nights i dont even feel them, others they do hurt a bit
All worth it for ur health and babies

I'm 28 weeks pregnant and have been on them since week 9. From my first midwife appointment I got a high score from medical history and she referred me to a consultant at my local hospital.

I hate needles and don't like taking them but it's to help me and prevent me from getting preclammsia. My hospitals policy is that if your pregnant you can have a single needle. It's in a test tube and you take the end off, I have to squirt a bit out. I started doing it on my lower part of the tummy and it didn't hurt but my tummy got bruised badly and all bumpy so have to do it higher up now. Getting harder to do as my tummy is firmer. Some days it stings other days I don't feel it.

I have to take it for 6 more weeks after I give birth. I have to go to haematology department at my local hospital every 6 weeks to check its working.

Good luck

Just tested positive for covid, I’m 23 weeks pregnant (tomorrow) and I’ve been prescribed blood thinners to avoid blood clots.

Has anyone else had covid during pregnancy? What did you do to relieve your symptoms? I hate being sick but to be pregnant and sick is horrific! Any advice will be appreciated!
