Is this normal? I have my scan tomorrow and a consultant appointment straight after! Worrying a little, what will they be doing?

Double the usual bloods too. When giving birth they gave me four hours in labour before trying to discuss CS.
I have come to the conclusion that Drs mean well but appear to be overly cautious and don't really explain themselves.
I found the same when DC1 was in hospital for a short period at 5mo.

Mine is due to previous DC being a low birth weight and having sepsis 12 month ago x

Hi all, had my scan and consultant appointment, it turns out it was because my Mom has a heart condition so they wanted to be sure all is ok. Thanks for all your comments 💕

Good to know, you must be relieved. Annoying that this wasn’t explained at booking in and it caused you worry.

That must be reassuring & offer some peace of mind.
