Hi!

Me and my partner are looking at going on a baby moon in April!

I will be 25 weeks but we have no idea where to go!

We wanting a super relaxing holiday but I know we can't go to Dominican or round there due to Zika virus. Same with shape verda which was our next option.

All the nice luxury places seem off limits lol.

Can anyone recommend anywhere?

OxfordCat I answered the question that ZeroFuchsGiven asked

Perhaps you would lie to tell them off for asking, rather than chastising the person who answered?

OxfordCat · 05/02/2020 18:12

No. it's a perfectly valid question but your answer was disingenuous and downright pedantic.

RancidOldHag · 05/02/2020 18:16

I am sorry you did not like my phrasing.

My intention was to give a short and accurate description of the traditional meaning of the term and how this thread had departed from it.

I am also sorry (and not being disingenuous - really sorry) that I didn't express myself well enough for this thread.

Im planning a 1 week cruise from Southampton next week, Ill be 22 weeks at the time. Sun sounds lovely, I think the canary island suggestions are good. If you wanted a bit of a shorter flight, southern Spain might be quite hot around then aswell.

FingersXssd83 · 05/02/2020 19:40

I'm thinking the same when I'm 22 weeks, @Nelbert19! Will be the end of April. Just wondering if the weather will be a bit rubbish. What month do you go?

ScarlettBlaize · 05/02/2020 19:45

What is a babymoon?

It's a very special time in a woman's life, after her engagement party, hen weekend, destination wedding, and gender reveal, and before her baby shower, push present and naming ceremony.

Nelbert19 · 05/02/2020 20:00

@FingersXssd83 we’re going at end of Feb - weather seems to be in mid teens at the moment which is good enough for me!

we’d actually booked before we knew we were pregnant because there were super cheap flights, but I’m now going to swan around pregnantly and thoroughly enjoy our last break together with just the two of us for a long time.

Don’t really know why people feel the need to suck the joy out of a simple holiday 🙄 I’m not having a baby shower/gender reveal/christening, but even if I was, you miseries aren’t invited anyway so no need to be snarky about it 😜

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 05/02/2020 20:08

@ScarlettBlaize whats with the snarky attitude?

@SparkleUK could you say where you found your great spa deal as that's exactly what I want to do for a Babymoon as we won't be able to go away for our anniversary as baby will be a few months old.

Currently in Dubai for baby moon. Would really recommend - hot, relaxing and only 6-7 hour flight x
