Terrible pelvic pain!

Hi guys, mad time posting but it seems to be my time to wake up naturally these days!
My pelvis has been an absolute warzone these past few weeks. A month or so ago I was having pain in my lady parts and around my hips but that went away. But now I'm getting a horrible grinding feeling in the very front of my pelvis and it's making life bloody agony. Sad
It even hurts moving over in bed. I'm walking like a geisha with tiny steps and the problem is I work on my feet all day full time.
I mentioned it before to my doctor the last time and she said it was just being pregnant but it is seriously getting out of hand now. Is there anything that can be done? Has anyone else experienced this? I'm 26+4 so Ive got another 3 months of potential pain!

Sounds like pelvic girdle pain. See if you can self-refer ti physio in your area, if not your midwife should be able to do it for you. In the meantime, the nhs website has some tips for reducing the pain.

Oh you can also get support belts. I've never tried one but a friend found it really helpful. I think in some areas the physio might provide them so you might want to hold off, but otherwise I think they're around £20...? If you're standing a lot you may well find one helpful.

Rest. Rest. Rest. See an osteopath with pregnancy trading (list on pelvic partnership website). Crutches.

The pelvic partnership website has useful info and tips.

Have an occupational health referral and have adjustments made to your work risk assessment.

My pgp started around 11/12 weeks pregnant but got much better as soon as my baby was born. You have my sympathies.

Your GP was a bit of a twat - this isn't something you should just have to put up with. As PPs have said, look up advice for pelvic girdle pain and/or symphysis pubis dysfunction and see if you can get physio. I'm 16 weeks, and mine started around a week ago - will be talking to my midwife to get a referral at my appt this week. I was forearmed though as my mum has this really badly in pregnancy. Yay genetics!
