Hoping for some opinions/advice on what to do about work. I'm absolutely drained right now. 22 weeks pregnant, 2 other DC under 5, and I haven't slept properly in weeks for a variety of reasons - from pregnancy-related insomnia, to work stresses, to kids not being well. I've hit a wall. Thing is, I just feel like I can't give work 100% at the moment and I feel guilty about that. I just don't have the energy to do it. I've tried working from home but it's still the same issue - I'm just so tired and nauseous all the time I can't focus. Has anyone been in a similar situation? I have another 4 months to go in work and it seems impossible.

Could you book a weeks holiday and try and catch up on sleep when your children are at school?

Yes yes yes! I have only one child and I am 21weeks but feel completely exhausted!!! The more tired I am, the more sick I feel! I decided to speak to my work about flexi hours and requested a
Referral to occupational health at work-
I felt much better from speaking with work as I am now doing reduced hours but still getting my full pay- instead of working 7 hour days I am working 5 hours - giving me a couple of
Hours to rest and sleep before collecting my daughter and starting evening routine :-/ !!!

Talk to your work!! Have you got any leave you could take to try and refresh- maybe some help with the kids so you can take some time to rest?

@mummab2019 how did you get reduced days but still full pay? That sounds ideal too be honest, because even if I take a few days annual leave, I'm back to square one as soon as I go back to work

I looked at the business policies and talks about how they need to be flexible with my working hours and appointments due to pregnancy - I am lucky that I work for council so I still get full pay but you have rights and they need to be able to negotiate and support you! Have a chat with them and explain you want to work but struggling and what could they do to help you...could they refer you to Occupational health? X
