9 weeks and symptoms changes

Hi,

I’m 9 weeks today and for the past two weeks I’ve been not feeling pregnant, well at least not everyday. I would be feeling sick and nauseous and tired every 2-3 days and in between I have no symptoms at all. Has anyone else experienced this? I know this could be due to hormones doubling but surely it’s strange to go so extreme after feeling perfectly fine for 3 days?

Just looking for some reassurance when not feeling any symptoms.

Thanks

Hi!

I'm really horrendous today at the moment I'm 9 weeks, had diarrhea and sickness and I feel so dehydrated!! But some days I've felt fine and if panics me!!! Feel like I'm not pregnant apart from the bloating on them days!! I get anxious but I guess having no symptoms sometimes is good!!

Hope this helps xSmile

Following - I'm 7+6 weeks and feeling no symptoms of nausea since Friday! It's bad that I'm hoping it comes back.. right?

Still exhausted though!

I'm 10 weeks today and since about 6 weeks I have had nausea on and off. Some days it is bad all day and night. Other days it is hardly there at all, or not there at all. My energy also fluctuates. Some days I feel fine, others exhausted. Same with mood - sometimes feel emotional, other days happy as larry.

My midwife said it's normal for hormones to fluctuate and symptoms to come and go. I also asked her about the MMC risk for someone who has not had one before (this is my first pregnancy). She said that usually if you have a MMC you do get some symptom but it can be hard to know that this is what it indicates. For example, women often get spotting or bad cramping but this is also normal for many pregnancies, so they write it off as normal. I know some women get absolutely no symptoms with a MMC but it's abnormal, she said. Also, even if you do have one, the hormones can keep increasing, so symptoms continuing is not even necessarily a sign that all is well (though we should feel reassured that if we are having normal pregnancy symptoms, 99% chance things are absolutely fine!). I also looked up the chance of MMC as it freaked me out a lot at first. Apparently it is about 1% chance within the usual % of chance of miscarriage (which changes as you progress in your pregnancy). But basically it is very uncommon.

I have resolved myself to think positive, trust my body and baby, and accept I have limited control in all this. I can only do my best!

Sorry in case my post increases worry (hopefully not) - my midwife and doula also said that many women don't get nausea at all, or very little! There is kind of no such thing as mandatory pregnancy symptoms....
My midwife said I should absolutely not worry about anything UNLESS I get bleeding OR very severe cramps that do not go away.... if those things happen, call the hospital or go into the emergency pregnancy unit place. Hope that helps. xx

Thank you all for reassurance. I know what will be will be I’d just rather know sooner rather than later if somethings not right but if other mums to be experiencing it then nothing to worry about x

My worst symptoms were from 5-7/8 weeks and by 9 weeks I started to feel much better. I was really paranoid but my midwife told me it was normal, everyone is different. Nearly 13 weeks now and symptoms are still there now and again but it seen to be random from day to day.

I had a mmc last April at 8+1 and my symptoms stopped suddenly for two days. I had a scan at 8+5 and a mmc was diagnosed. I didn't have surgical management until I was 12+2 and I still suffered with symptoms right up until I had the surgery.

I'm 7+5 now and I had a loss of symptoms at 7 weeks. Had a scan at 7+1 and baby was totally fine.

In my experience, loss of symptoms is due to hormone changes!

Your placenta starts to "take over" around 9 weeks so it's common to have a loss/change of symptoms around then. I had no idea at the time so it was very worrying but since then I've seen loads of women on here say the same.

I'm 9+4 and I have days (in a row) where I feel like this. Ridiculously tired and ravenously hungry are always there but other than that I don't have many either atm. Try not to worry, everyone is different and we might just be 2 of the luckier ones Grin

jdy123 · 03/02/2020 20:38

I lost most my symptoms at about 8 -9 weeks and they never came back...had nausea for a couple of weeks early on and it went as quick as it came ha
Breast tenderness went early on too!
I still feel great and I'm 14 weeks...never really had any tiredness or anything ! One of the lucky ones...Smile

I'm 12 weeks in a few days I've only had nausea and sore boobs ect but no sickness at all, some days not much nausea some days it's really bad and the last few days have been the worst. Even now I don't feel pregnant, I think it can take quite a lot of time to feel pregnant

PieAndPumpkins · 03/02/2020 22:30

Hi there! I'm also 9 weeks and just wanted to add it sounds totally normal, and also that every pregnancy is different. This pregnancy feels much tamer than previously for me. I'm always in denial until the scan either way though! Hang in there and just be glad you feel well (for now!)
