I am due first baby in 2 months and am now starting to get the last bits together. I'm planning on breastfeeding and have purchased some Lansinoh cream and nipples pads... what else do I need to get in regards to feeding? I wasn't going to get a breast pump until after baby is here just in case for some reason I can't BF... do I need anything else? I feel very unprepared in regards to feeding...

Nursing bras/tops

Nipple shields - just in case!

Get some Multi Mam compresses and store them in the fridge - they literally saved my nipples. Also make sure you either have ice packs or frozen peas you can put on engorged boobs. Feeding friendly tops - I mainly used primark vest tops as they're so stretchy and long to cover remaining bump and then a cardi on top. Breast pads, I found most of them really uncomfortable and the only ones I liked I had to order off the internet - I will try reusable ones this time.
(Not feeding but while you're at it... more maternity pads. When you think you've got enough, get some more!) Make sure you have enough muslin cloths, in the beginning my breasts would leak so much once baby would start drinking from the other one - or get a Haakaa to collect all the goodness.
And always have a water bottle and snacks within reach...

Oh, something that was really really good was remote controlled candles so night feeding would be easy enough but not fully wake us up like a normal bed side lamp. You can change the colour which really helped too and was very calming.

I'd get a mix of nursing bras and some vests (they're usually for days you're lounging in the house). I recently switched to reusable breast pads, they're very good for once your supply has settled down and will save loads of money.

I would suggest you don't buy much more than you had as you might not need everything. If you have nearby a big store like ASDA, Tesco or Sainsbury's, they have everything and you could send your husband to buy it. You can also buy on amazon prime and have it delivered next day. Or buy near your due date but keep your receipt so you can return if not used( like nipple shields, not everyone needs them, I did thou. Or a breast pump that you might not use, I learnt to hand express and didn't use it much with my third).

But it's good to have some Lasinoh or similar products ( all are good, important is they have lanolin) and some breast pads and nursing bras. There are ladies I know didn't need much of breast pads where I was using few a day.
