Last night I started getting mild itching all over my body, it was more annoying that anything and was worse where my clothes were tighter if that makes
Sense (like the waist band on my pjs).
It’s very mild so didn’t keep me up at night at all.

This morning it’s still there but mainly on the palm of one of my hands. Should I be concerned?

Itching in pregnancy can be a sign of obstetric cholastasis so tell your midwife or doctor and ask for the relevant tests ASAP.

Yeah, best ring in and see if they can get you checked!

I had this from 31 weeks up to my due date. It got so bad it felt like insects were crawling under my skin. I had to use my hairbrush to scratch so didn't damage my skin. My DP had to put powder over my body to relieve it at night. Utter torture. Went the minute I gave birth, I think it was water, I retained so much water, I lost 20kg the day after birth and that's not exaggerated.

@Wingingthis hi OP 😊

I had Obstetric cholestasis
In my first pregnancy around 25 weeks the itching was all over my body also and very much on my palms of my hands and soles of my feet.... you have to talk to you midwife straight away about this so I'd call so they can take bloods to confirm if you have it... they say to contact someone immediately because there's a higher risk of a still birth and you might have to be induced at around 37 weeks if it is confirmed that you have the condition.

I was put on medication for it and had to have weekly blood tests taken to keep an eye on my bile levels... I ended up being induced at around 38 weeks... and now I have a healthy 18 month old toddler

Just make sure you get it checked out xxx

Please speak to your midwife ASAP about this as it COULD be OC as others have said
