I'm 20 weeks pregnant and my proper cravings have only recently kicked in properly, they are....

Salad 😂 salad leaves, cucumber, peppers, avocado, sweet corn.
Sweet potatoes or normal potatoes
Fruit like grapes, strawberries, mango
Lemon squash, I love the stuff!
Cheese

I was expecting to crave weird stuff or unhealthy foods so I'm quite chuffed 😊 I could easily eat this stuff and nothing else.

Mars bars and salt and vinegar crisps (can't stand them now haha) in the first trimester, in the second I couldnt get enough weetos or spag bol (I usually hate red meat). In the third thankfully no particularly unhealthy ones!

All the milk in the world.

Especially Sainsbury's cheaply strawberry milk - at least 2 litres a day and Burger King vanilla milkshake. At least one a day.

Bad Things happened if these were not available.

I drank loads of milk too. But it had to be from a new bottle every day as otherwise it tasted weird and would make me feel sick.

DS1 jacket potatoes with tonnes of cheese. Would harvest potatoes directly from the garden and put them into the microwave, because I had no time to use the oven. Would do this upto 4 times in a row most days.

Also had really bad cravings for a bacon and egg McMuffin. Even rang Uber for one once! But they didn't deliver to my area back then.

DS2 anything with vinegar : salad cream, capers, balsamic vinegar, the more vinegar the better with everything. Am still mildly in this phase.

Also Ting! Anyone know those grapefruit sparkling drinks? The bees knees!!! Heaven in a drinks can. Had to make many a detour to get one many from the world food section at a Tesco far from where I lived.

First trimester was salty snacks, although that was probably less of a craving and more just what I could eat without feeling nauseous. Ready salted crisps for breakfast, yum. Second and third trimesters was anything sugary, I had stashes of cookies and chocolates in my handbag Blush Despite eating all that rubbish my metabolism was the best it has ever been and I was back to pre-pregnancy weight after a week shame I've put on a stone in the three months since.

When I was pregnant with ds I wanted to sniff fairy liquid out the bottle! Still like the smell . Also full fat coke.

MusicToMyEars800 · 01/02/2020 20:42

Oh also couldn’t get enough of fizzy orange, it could be anything from lucozade to tango as long as it was fizzy orange Grin

Cassie1394 · 01/02/2020 20:43

No food cravings for me but I can not get enough of new carpets, the smell & the look 🙈🙈 my mouth waters just thinking about it

DroppedMySausage · 01/02/2020 20:46

@chocolate26 I understand the cleaning products aversion. When I was newly pregnant I ordered a very expensive shampoo and conditioner all the way from America. When it finally arrived I very excitedly used my new amazing shampoo and the smell of it was so awful it made me sick and to this day the thought of it makes me heave. DH ended up using it all on his boring man hair Envy

M&S shortbread biscuits. Only M&S would do, any other brand just didn’t taste right and I’d sulk.

I also drank gallons of milk a week for months. My favourite was chocolate milk straight out of the carton like I’d not drunk in months!

My DTs are 2 now, and I occasionally want shortbread biscuits (any brand) and chocolate milk. Whenever dh sees the two he starts panicking and says “you’re not, are you?” 😂

TinyPop14 · 01/02/2020 20:57

Dd1 toast and ham, cereal with freezing cold milk. Ds caramel cake, haribo sweets. Dd2 pasta, have eaten it nearly everyday for the last 12 weeks and still can't get enough of it!

wherethewavesarehighest · 01/02/2020 21:15

Watermelon, 2/3 a week. They're still one of my favourites.

Hoviscats · 01/02/2020 21:17

With DS1 I wanted coleslaw with every meal! I still love the stuff 10 years later 😆

gingerninja99 · 01/02/2020 21:31

Number one was ice - could not get enough!
Number two was petrol! My midwives kept telling me not to drink it as if I was crazy but it was the smell I couldn't get enough off. I kept asking DH if he needed fuel so I could go fill his car up and seriously considered at one point just hanging out at the local petrol station filling up people's cars for them Shock

gingerninja99 · 01/02/2020 21:35

3rd trimester of number 1 was also salt, hate salt generally but I was putting loads of it on everything

SEE123 · 02/02/2020 01:04

Carbonara, daily! And the proper stuff with pecorino and egg, not cream. I would dream of it all day!

Ready salted crisps on the other hand 🤢😷
