Hey all,

So I recently become a qualified Dream Therapist and now I'm pregnant I thought I should put my qualification to great use! I want to start analysing pregnant mothers dreams and whilst I'm just getting started I thought it may be a great opportunity to use this platform to do it free of charge to help me get started and set up and a bit of fun for you all too.

When I go on maternity I'm hoping I'll be able to do this as a flexible job at my home where I can offer dream analysis and pregnancy relaxation.

Note: I can not guarantee accurate analysis. The purpose of my role is to guide you to understand your dreams and the meanings behind them.

Fire aware and I'll see what I can do! Xxx

@Beau2020 you are on the money! I'm always one to have loads to do lol especially with a baby on the way!

@itsnoteasyfeelingqueasy ohh I just read yours, very similar! I think it's the oddest dream I've ever had but definitely think it makes sense with what the analysis said!

Beau2020 · 02/02/2020 18:10

@Delbelleber ooh interesting. Evil spirits - tricky one! As it can have different meanings depending on your beliefs around them. It does sound very chaotic though which could represent chaos in your current waking life or it could be represent suppressed fear that is trapped in your subconscious and is trying to get out. Would need more interpretation to get to the bottom of that one!

@thosethreewords recurring dreams usually means something that hasn't been solved in your waking life and may re-appear when your stressed to remind you it needs solving to try and help you become more relaxed. Do you ever feel unheard by someone? Do you feel someone doesn't value your opinions or thoughts?

@lmel16 Ahh a common one! There is links with both of your dreams about a worry of hurting the baby. Sometimes this could represent an internal conflict about the amount of time you would have to devote to your baby and it's all about new priorities that you'll have to change when the baby is here. Do you ever worry about this kind of thing?

Beau2020 · 02/02/2020 18:16

@BumbleBeeFlower haha yes without much more context it's difficult to analyse this dream but perhaps it could be from too much TV Indeed!

@ChickenNugget86 surprisingly, this is quite a common dream! It can represent a loss or a massive change that you may currently be experiencing. It could also mean a lack of control over something or a certain situation. Have you gone through any changes or losses recently?

@itsnoteasyfeelingqueasy Ahh a very similar dream indeed to @ejmay90 I would have to give a very similar reading. Are you going through something similar?

I very often dream that I’m trying to get to the top floor of a building, usually a school (I’m a teacher) but there are loads of staircases and I can’t find the right one to get to where I’m going.
Similarly, I repeatedly don’t attend the maths class where I’m the pupil and I hope that no one will notice at the end of the year. (I’m not a maths teacher btw)
I have versions of both of these dreams more times than I can remember.

LouH1981 · 02/02/2020 18:53

Hi, what an interesting thread!
When I was pregnant I would have an awful recurring dream that there was a problem with my baby’s eyes. Not necessarily vision wise but to look at physically. Almost as if the eyes were in the wrong place. DD has since been born 10 weeks ago perfectly healthy.
Another one was that I suddenly realised I have missed months worth of lectures and seminars at university and my dissertation is now years overdue and I can’t ever manage to get it done. (I graduated in 2003!)

Beau2020 · 02/02/2020 19:39

@Flatteredbutno So your first dream about the staircases is pretty common. Even though you are a teacher, being in a school could take you back to a time when you were at school and you were looking for guidance or support on an important decision. Perhaps this recurring dream happens when you need to make an important decision in your waking life. A school usually represents guidance, learning and support and the fact you have lots of staircases and are going upwards means that you are looking for a decision to help your progress with your life or career? You need to know which way to go kind of thing! The second dream may represent that you are trying to avoid something perhaps??

@LouH1981 oh interesting analysis around the eyes. It doesn't necessarily mean your baby has a problem with their eyes at all. It could mean that you want to keep a close eye on baby at all times, maybe a trigger that baby needs watching as can be quite active. Your second dream represents a very chaotic life. No matter how many times you finish one task there's always something else to do, chores, work, social life. It seems you have a lot to juggle!?

Thank you. Very interesting! I love this kind of thing Smile

NauseousNancy · 02/02/2020 20:03

I have horrible nightmares that I hurt someone (random people, never anyone I know). I then spend the rest of the dream praying I wake up and that it’s just a dream, as I am so scared I am going to be caught and put in jail! The relief when I wake up is huge! Really creeps me out as I am a very very not violent person, but I am incredibly so in my dreams!

NauseousNancy · 02/02/2020 20:05

Should say - have had these dreams both pregnant and not pregnant!

Beau2020 · 02/02/2020 20:10

@NauseousNancy aww haha! Don't worry you are not a bad person! In fact it could be playing an opposites effect here. The fact that you say you are not an angry person at all, perhaps your body needs some way of venting and being angry! Perhaps this is your bodies way of letting out some steam by being violent in your dreams as the feeling of anger may be repressed in your waking life. Sometimes you need to feel all emotions to feel balanced ❤️

OP posts:
LouH1981 · 02/02/2020 20:16

@Beau2020 That would make sense about a chaotic life. I guess as Mums we all feel a bit like that.
In terms of her eyes, that’s really interesting! Obviously when I was pregnant I was terrified that it was prophetic.
Thank you for sharing your expertise. Our brains really are fascinating!

lmel16 · 02/02/2020 21:14

@Beau2020 Thankyou so much for your response. As far as I’m aware I’m not worried about the amount of time I can give to the baby? It’s my second so I already know what it’s like. I am constantly worried that something might be wrong with this baby however more than I was with my first which is odd? As I thought usually with your second your calmer? Lol Don’t know if that’s coming through in my dreams?

Beau2020 · 02/02/2020 21:29

@lmel16 ahh interesting! Well it can certainly be different for everyone. I guess with having a second child comes with less mental preparation as you've done it all before so have some kind of expectation, so there could be some suppressed thoughts or worries that aren't in your conscious. Good luck & congrats with your second pregnancy!! ❤️❤️

I dreamed that the Chinese government had installed a machine in my parents' garden that infected people with corona virus! When I went to visit them, the machine's funnel "chased" me around the garden blowing pathogens into my hair.

WTF!

Delbelleber · 03/02/2020 09:29

I had a very strange and horrible dream @Beau2020 I hope you don't mind another of my dreams! Trying to shrink it down.... I was at a house I think it was supposed to be my mums house and I was with old friends I'm no longer in touch with. My brother had also been at the house with his friends and they had been in the attic and made it kind of homely like a den somewhere to chill. My friends had gone up there and started eating sweets and meat my brother had left there. I went up and the floor in the attic was really wobbly like I could go through the ceiling at any time. I discovered my mum was keeping an infected immigrant in a room in the attic and I took him some meat and saw his face covered in smallpox which in the dream was corona virus. I was so angry at my mum for putting my pregnant self at risk and phoned the police but they said he had to stay there because they couldn't risk him leaving. I ended up killing him, I strangled him and cut his head off although it didn't look real more like an alien or something. I went downstairs and ran a bath to wash myself clean and think my child had been born and was a toddler in the bath with me but also in the bath was 2 tvs and I was worried they would electrocute the water so I moved one to make it safe.
Also other things going on in the dream like my friends sorting through the coins in my purse and someone doing back flips in the street.
Horrible crazy dream Hmm

Byets · 11/02/2020 10:00

@Beau2020 - hi. I'm currently 16 weeks and I had the strangest dream that I gave birth now, but to a full term baby girl? She was fine and no one could explain to me how she was the size she was and developed like a full term baby when every scan had showed her developing at the right stage? It was so strange I woke up so confused 🤣 thanks in advance if you're able to help! X

HairsprayBabe · 11/02/2020 11:03

My DH keeps having really vivid dreams at the moment waking him up in the night I am nearly 17weeks pregnant

A few I can remember in the last week he has told me about:

He was fixing something in the garden with a circular saw. I come out of the hose heavily pregnant and brought him a giant plate of jam sandwiches (he doesn't like them) but he said thank you anyway.
I then something happens and the blade fly's off the saw and hits me in the tummy. He tried to save me but just said "it's ok I know it was an accident" and then die.

Second dream it's vaguely set in the future maybe 5-10 years we broke up and he moved to America to become a professional writer but he missed me and the kids and was sad all the time, then one day I show up at his door and tell him I miss him too.

Finally we are together as a couple but not living together he his house sharing in our current home with a random man. I am due to visit one evening when a girl we see who works in a shop near our house shows up professing her love for him. He tells her he isn't interested and tries to get her to leave but she won't then I arrive - he tries to get her out of the back garden because he is worried I will think something is going on - I see him bundling her out of the garden and run away.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 11/02/2020 11:26

Very strange dream last night:

Started off at my high school's yearly Founder's Day celebration. I'd done something recently (possibly stopped a terrorist attack???) which meant that, halfway through the service, I had to run across the quad (something incredidbly against the rules!). Turned out at the actual service I ran across the pupils' (who were filling the quad) shoulders.

Then I ended up on a post party bus filled with different groups of native Americans. Again, we were celebrating something, and I ended up in a ritutal where I had to sing about what had happened in their native languages. Among it all I got very cross about some kids having taken my (very tatty) jumper and leaving it in a mud ditch by the road, then lying about it.

Make of that all what you will!

Beau2020 · 11/02/2020 11:48

@Helpmexx oh dear these are quite disturbing dreams! What's your relationship with your ex boyfriend / father of the baby like at the moment? Do you have any worries about anything as in your dream it seems to represent a fear of the unknown when the baby is born and there are things that haven't been sorted out yet between both of you?

The second the dream with the insulin injection, my analysis from this alongside with the other points you spoke about with your mother is that you are looking for some kind of support, hence why you're trying to stab yourself with insulin because you feel you need more support, perhaps from your family or mum? Perhaps you don't often ask for support and it's your dreams way of saying it's okay to reach out and ask for help xx

OP posts:
Beau2020 · 11/02/2020 11:51

@byets please don't worry! It doesn't mean you will give birth prematurely or even that there is anything wrong. Are you a first time mother? Dreaming of giving birth often is natural and it represents anxiety or the fear of giving birth so its our bodies way of gearing up and preparing for the big day xx

OP posts:
Beau2020 · 11/02/2020 12:01

@hairspraybabe very interesting dreams and hard to interpret as we're both not inside the mind of your DH. Is there something coming to an end in your or your DH life? Perhaps coming to an end of a chapter, deciding whether to finish a job or something that represents "the end". It seems that you are projecting into the future which could mean something is coming to an end, but also that something new is starting. Of course that could be the birth of your lovely baby but I think there could also be something else for you both?

The final dream represents an insecurity. The random people and random girl could represent either a fear or an insecurity happening in your relationship right now and this could just be based around the unknown of what happens when the baby is born. Does any of this make sense to you? Xxx

OP posts:
Beau2020 · 11/02/2020 12:04

@timeihadanamechange I think the first half represents that you have strong morals and you perhaps would hope people recognise them and you want those morals to be passed on through your children regarding obedience. Second half of your dream represents communication, are you perhaps trying to understand someone or communicate with someone at the moment to get them to share your opinions or values?
