So Wednesday night I was supposed to be having a gastroscopy but I got two positive tests and so the gastroscopy wasn't done.

Been to the doctors, done two more tests which came back positive. The thing is, since Monday before I found out, I've been on off bleeding pink/brown blood. This morning I woke up to wiping after going to the loo and there was the pink blood again.

I'm roughly about five weeks. They found out I was pregnant so early. My first, I didn't realise I was pregnant until I was nearly ten weeks pregnant. This time is different though and the bleeding is driving me insane. My hospital won't do anything because I'm so early. I'm worrying so much and my work environment doesn't help either. I've taken today off work, telling them I need to go into hospital even though I know I can't go in.

Is there anyway I can get signed off work for this? I may only be a full time barista, but my job is stressful and I don't want to put any stress on top of what is going on. If I'm going to miscarry then fine, but if there is anyway I can prevent it then I will take the time off work because baby number two is far more important than work.

Also, has anyone experienced pink/brown bleeding. I firstly got told it was implantation bleeding but its been going on for a week nearly. It stops and starts. Then I got told it was old blood leaving the body because its brown but now it's pink in colour I'm worried

Thanks

Unfortunately it really is just a waiting game, hard as it is. Ad I'm sure you've read many women go on to have successful pregnancies after a lot of bleeding. Have you been offered a scan when you're a little further along? Typically tou would expect to be able to see a heartbeat by 7 weeks at the latest, often at 6.

Unfortunately what will be will be regardless of whether you go to work. If you're struggling with your mental health as a result you might get your GP to sign you off, but I doubt they will sign you off for the bleeding alone unfortunately.
