My friend has 2 tickets but DH thinks we shouldn't go even though I feel really well and the 02 centre is not TOO far away from home and hospital.

I went to see Scissor Sisters and Elton John around that far, like you not far from home and hosp!

Although not really as exciting as Prince, so unlikely to bring on labour!

NappiesGalore · 01/09/2007 22:16

ooh, i saw kings of leon recently. very good!

unknownrebelbang · 01/09/2007 22:22

No, but only because I had lousy pregnancies, and two out of the three were born early.

pecka (hijack)
Jaysus that's gone quick
prob not for you but

LyraBelacqua · 01/09/2007 22:30

No, I wouldn't. I missed my beloved Red Hot Chili Peppers twice because of their gigs almost coinciding with DS1 and DS2's due dates. Could you imagine if you went into labour?
but then I didn't venture more than a couple of miles from our house in the last couple of weeks of being pg.

Piffle - concert not til Decemer - Im only a mere 24 weeks

PurlyQueen · 02/09/2007 00:41

I saw Prince in concert last week and there were lots of pregnant ladies there - some looked pretty advanced to me.
If you think the labour is about to begin then there are loads of stewards at the venue and they will get you out of there quickly and safely.

Have a fantastic time if you do go - it was a brilliant concert!

We went last night as it happens, and I would strongly advise you not to go if you have bad seats up the back.

It was really steep up there and most people sat there clinging to the seats with sweaty palms!

There was also a fair bit of walking to get in the right gate, but that may not be such a bad thing.

Great gig though!

I saw U2 the night before I went into labour with DS. We both loved it! That was at 37 weeks though...

goodcatholicgirl · 02/09/2007 18:53

my dd was born dead on 39 weeks.....

goodcatholicgirl · 02/09/2007 18:54

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just realised how that sounds, she wasn't born dead, I mean it was bang on the 39th week. She is def not dead, how awful do I feel having re-read that, she is a very healthy 15 mth old. God, I actually feel sick. Hope I haven't offended anyone

rofl goodcatholicgirl, I saw it and thought fancy typing that and then saw your clarification....

ChippyMinton · 02/09/2007 19:12

Agree, the upper level seats looked scarey. Down below everyone was standing most of the time so you won't see much if you need to sit down. But definately go, it is unmissable

PurlyQueen · 02/09/2007 19:14

The concert was so amazing that I want to go again if I can get tickets. But pregnant or not - I definitely wouldn't want to be in those seats near the roof - you'd get vertigo being up there!

MrsMarvel · 02/09/2007 23:17

Yep it was a great night even up in the Gods people (brave ones) were standing up doing their thang. I was really impressed to see Maceo Parker. I do wish I'd done the afterparty thing though, I'm not sure these big events are me really.
