My waters have just broke, I'm on my way to the hospital, I don't know what to expect, does this mean the baby is definitely coming? Will my baby be ok?

Good luck! My DD was induced at 34 weeks as she was safer out than in. She was home after 2 weeks and is a healthy, happy (all be it small) 20 month old now 😍 Good luck op, I know it’s terrifying but baby will be ok

@Salina2 thinking of you and baby this morning. Hope your both still ok.

Update: so doctor came round after second steroid, might have to be put onto the sliding scale which I am not looking forward to at all! My cervical stitch will be taken out today to prevent and tearing or infection if I go into labour. They will also do a swab test to check for any signs of infection, in which case they would have to induce me, if I don't go into labour I'm guessing if blood sugar levels are good and no signs of labour, they might let me go home on antibiotics. All very uncertain yet. I just feel so guilty being here whilst my baby boy is home, I miss him so much and haven't been away from him before, I need to stay positive and remember I am doing this for our baby to be born healthy and without any major complications. Thank you all for your support x

@Salina2 fingers crossed that you can go home to be with your son with some antibiotics.

Try to stay positive even if your baby does come soon at nearly 35 weeks they generally cope well.

My son was born by c section at 34+5 he did not require the neonatal unit and breastfed after the first two bottles (while I was in theatre). My niece was born by vaginal delivery same gestation and breastfed solely no neonatal unit admission.

Hi OP, thinking of you and I hope all is quiet. Hopefully your baby will stay put a while longer, and you can go home for rest and cuddles with your little boy. As so many PP have said though, outlook for a 34 weeker is great. Fingers crossed for you!
