Hi all

I am 8.5 weeks pregnant. I am generally ok during the day. I feel nauseous but dont vomit. However in the evenings come 7/8 I start throwing up & get really dizzy. Does anyone else experience it? Finding it impossible to sleep because I keep getting up to be sick.

I’m morning sickness was actually worse during the night. I would wake up at 2am feeling absolutely grim.

I could’ve written this! I am going through this too, totally sympathise with you. I’ve had so many different tips and tricks but to no avail, all that seems to ease it a little for me is nibbling on ready salted crisps around 6 ish (I can’t even have a normal meal now), and sit in bed til around 10 just sipping either a really strong cuppa or lemonade depending how bad I feel, and wearing sickness bands . I’m 8 weeks 4 days and even stopped taking my Cyclizine because it didn’t work it just made me even more dizzy . Hope it gets better for you soon xxx

Agh, I feel for you. I had the same throughout my second pregnancy: okay during the day, then violently ill around 2/3am. It was bloody awful. And exhausting. I was scared it was harming my baby. BUT, he's now 14 months old and utterly fabulous. It will pass, but do seek medical help if it continues. Everyone fobbed me off, which I'm still angry about!!

I was sick constantly 24/7 for the first 2 trimesters. I tried the ginger thing which worked but then the smell of ginger made me vomit. My aunt told me to try arrow root, it worked a treat! You can buy it in the baking aisle. Mix it with a little water and down it like a shot. Instant relief. You can also get arrow root biscuits for on the go. Hope you feel better soon xx
