Ok, so I'm nearly 6 weeks pregnant after a chemical pregnancy last month...

I've been being sick since conception, which I've got used to now, and have tonnes of other symptoms: crazily hot at night, sore and growing boobs, mood swings, sleeping strangely, hungry all the time, and eating foods I don't normally like.

Anyway, the mood swings are extreme tiredness are making me feel like a total failure. I am meant to be at home working on my business, but I just feel exhausted and totally unmotivated (which really panics me when it concerns something I'm usually so passionate about). I've tried going for a walk and I just feel even more exhausted.

Is there anything I can do to bring my motivation back? Anyone got any good tips? or am I just being unrealistic and need to rest? So many people manage to be so productive during their pregnancies, I feel like a total failure for feeling so....lazy!

Hi! I am heading into my 6th week too and can empathise with the tiredness and lack of motivation! You and your body are doing some amazing things right now so it is totally normal to feel how you are, just remember where all this energy is going (super productive baby growing!)

The week before I took my pregnancy test I was abnormally tired, feeling drained and didn't want to do anything! Kept falling asleep too! It was so unusual and worrying!

Personally I have found it helped me to go to the gym (I have been going 3-4 times a week for years but during that week really did not want to move). Both last week and this week although I've been tired, I've gone anyway yawning along the way, but half way through a good 1hr - 1.5hr weight training session my energy has been suddenly revealing itself and I feel back to normal again.

Of course it's important to pace yourself, consult with your doctor and ensure you rest, but going for a good long brisk walk, perhaps listening to some motivating/positive music and podcasts along the way will help you take your mind off feeling so bad and give you a bit of a boost Smile

Have you also tried small frequent meals to keep your energy up?

I'm planning on exercising as long as I can (safely of course) as it has known benefits both to mum and baby.

Hoping you feel more motivated soon!
