Pram help pls

Today I purchased the ickle bubba Moon All-in-One Travel System (Black) for pre order for the end of Feb.

It comes with a car seat that in all videos and pics I've seen of the travel system sits on the base of the pram.
Well, it wasn't until I purchased it that adapters popped up to buy... I didn't realise I would need car seat adapters to slot the car seat on the pram base. I just stupidly assumed that the car seat would fix on.

So I start looking into if these adapters are needed to then see something called an "isofix" for my car to fix the car seat to be used in my car!!!?

Is this correct? Can anyone help me please.
Sorry if this is really stupid.. I've never owned a travel system where the car seat can be fixed onto a pram base and my baby car seats have never needed a fitting for my car!?

Thanks

Isofix is a base that fits into your car seat and the baby seat clips straight onto it - super safe and super easy.
Look on facebook market place for one, you should be able to pick one up nice and cheap. We were lucky and put pram adaptors came free with the pram.

Hi, thanks for your reply!
Is it something that is 100 percent needed to use the car seat in my car or something that can be bought as an extra if you would like? (If this makes sense lol)
This is what I assumed that if a car seat needed adaptors they would come with the pram. All so confusing lol

You can use most car seats with the seatbelt and don't need an isofix. Personally I prefer the Isofix base because it's foolproof - if anything isn't on properly, it will beep and a flashing light will show me which bit I need to sort. Both ways are equally safe but apparently there's more chance of someone not putting the seat in correctly when they use the seatbelt.

I would 100% get an isofix, makes life much easier and it's safer too. X

Great thank you!
I must sound so silly.. especially as this is my 3rd, knowing he's my last I wanted a whole travel system and really enjoy getting bits I wanted being in a better position ... now purchased I don't even know what I'm doing lol.
I appreciate your replies it's helped alot.

The isofix base clips into D rings in your car. If your car is less than 10 years old or so, it’ll probably have them but you just don’t realise. Quite likely on older cars too.

My youngest is 8 now, but the isofix bass we had, could also be attached using a seat belt. Obviously, this didn’t give the security of the isofix d rings, but did give the convenience of not having to strap in the infant seat each time. Our infant seat (Macxi Cosi) could also be strapped in to the car directly by the seatbelt. This was handy in DH’s van which did not have isofix attachments.

In short, you might be also to use your car seat without an isofix base, but it’s a lot easier and more convenient to use one if your car has the attachments.

That’s sucks that your travel system didn’t come with car seat adapters, but they are unlikely to be massively costly. Look on eBay, or do a “wanted” shout on FB.
