Still feeling sick and struggling to eat at 38 weeks 🤷🏻‍♀️
Sorry. Some of us get a short straw.
On the plus side, I've only gained 14lbs and baby is predicted to be 8 of them so 👍

Oh no bless you @Engard, every cloud though!
I had expected to start feeling better after about 14 weeks but so far not. I don't recall nausea this bad with either of my other pregnancies but I am much older now and everything is different this time.
Only 2 weeks to go, not to much longer to wait...

I was being sick until about 16 weeks, had about 10 weeks off then the sickness came back. 30 weeks now and feeling vomity all the time again. Who are these women who breeze through pregnancy and love it?

Brianna83 · 15/01/2020 21:10

@Engard - you're writing my story! 37+5 and still being sick too. Like you day the plus size is I've barely gained any weight at all, less than a stone! I was overweight pre pregnancy though.

@Letsallscreamatthesistene I’d like to be one right now Envy
I’m currently laid in bed feeling like I could vomit any minute Sad
I hope it subsides for you

@Brianna83 I’m not sure I can cope with another 20 weeks of this. How did you manage?

@cezza1923 - at first I kept hoping it would go away. My mum told me her sickness with me subsided at 16 weeks so that was my first goal (later turned out she fibbed to give me hope!). Then when it didn't get better I went to the GP, mainly because I was worried at that point that I was losing weight (I was about a stone under my pre pregnancy weight at that point). They prescribed cyclizine and I am very lucky that it works well for me. I don't like to take the full dose of 3 tablets a day so I limited to 1 a day. A combination of the meds, making sure I am pretty much constantly eating (I get more nauseous on an empty stomach) and finishing work at around 32 weeks has worked. If I had plans, a meeting or an event I would take more meds.

I think eventually it just became routine for me, get up, be sick, have tablet, eat all day, sick again before dinner then dinner and bed. I'm sure it's not healthy to view it that way but I'm on the home stretch now and can't wait for it to be over!

I was sick up until 18-19 weeks, but after that my pregnancy was a dream, currently 38weeks and still active and feeling ok, nausea didn't come back or any other symptom, so I guess it depends

cezza1923 · 16/01/2020 08:29

Sound like a nightmare @Brianna83, although it will be totally worth it and not long for you to wait now.

I have a consultant appointment next week so I’ll bring it up then and see what they say. I hadn’t realised you could take something to help.

Thanks for replying Smile
